edit.. play all.. end edit
you have a $300 trip bankroll.
one unit = $5.00
you want to maximize your gain with acceptable risk to you.
which square would you choose?

1. A flat betting 1 unit play just 1 hand
2. B flat betting 1 unit play just 10 hands
3. C flat betting 1 unit play just 100 hands
4. D flat betting 1 unit play just 1000 hands
5. 5A flat betting 5 units play just 1 hand
6. 5B flat betting 5 units play just 10 hands
7. 5C flat betting 5 units play just 100 hands
8. 5D flat betting 5 units play just 1000 hands
9. makes no differance

please state why your choice in your response.

Well this is certainly cruel, it's a -EV game! I wouldn't drive to the casino for this. But since we're apparently already at the casino...

I WANNA GO HOME!

Whadaya mean I HAVE to play?

All right, I'm willing to gamble, but not much. I'll take square B. I might get lucky and win enough to make this worthwhile. :(

gamble

I would have to take the 5c route also even though I doubt under normal play I would last 100 rounds. It would be a real gamble to make a profit flat betting but with the surrender I may be able to make a 100 rounds. The math is the math and that is a hail mary bankroll so you would need a prayer to last. blackchipjim

After thinking about it some more...

If I'm allowed to wong in and out with impunity, I'd take square D.

my gamble

i went with C .
a zero percent ROR with a 30.62% probability of making the $57 one std dev, a 4.38% probability of making the $113 two std dev and a 0.25% probability of making $170 three std dev's.
of course being a gambler i a'int worrying bout the neg std dev's.
so but i like the idea of maybe comming out 11 units ahead and not likely to lose the whole bankroll. maybe likely to lose just over half the bankroll 0.25% of the time or maybe lose 38% of the roll about 4.38% of the time. maybe lose 19% of the roll about 34% of the time.

options D, 5B & 5C have their charms. thing is D has a ROR of about 10.73% and can make you about 3 times as much as option C but at the same percentages as C and takes ten times longer. 5B can maybe get you a little more than C with only a 0.08% ROR and can get those higher amounts at about the same percentages that C might. those are the numbers but still i simply can't believe that 5B would perform almost the same as C even a little better. i mean only 10 hands. so i wrote it off. then 5C has a ROR of almost 30% albeit a nice potential return if lucky. just didn't like that higher trip ROR.
the rest of the options seemed just silly to me. 5D had a 74% ROR.

Actually, I would play 2 hands at a time $50 each (10 units) until I went broke or doubled up. Naturally, at +3 or more
