HI ,

I am new to BlackJack. The casino in my town using One Deck to play BackJack.Could we beat blackJack with just 1 deck of card?

Below is the way the casino play with blackjack:

-Shuffle card with hand.(No shuffle machine)
-All player card are open up and leave on table.
-Dealer's 1st card is open , and another card is close.
-Will shuffle the card after each hand.
-Dealer hit on soft 17.

Hope someone willl give advice to beat this 1 deck blackjack game.
Thank You.

Since they shuffle after every hand you will not be able to count the cards. Hopefully they don't pay 6:5 for blackjacks either. Those are two of the biggest factors.

There may be other ways to beat this game, but they will require a lot of practice and a lot of skill. Look through the Advanced Strategies forum for more information on other ways to beat the game.

HI Sonny,
Thank for your helpful link! I will take a look into them.

Appreciate for you help!

The payout for blackjack from the casino website in my town is as follow:

"Blackjack or Natural 21
When the total point for the initial 2 cards dealt equals 21 e.g.
Picture + Ace = 21 or Ten + Ace = 21. The House pays you 3 to 2."

I think this is not the 6:5 payout you mention in the early post.

:)

Regards
Cheng.

You're right. The 3:2 payout is the correct payout for blackjacks. Sometimes casinos will try to cheat the players by changing the payout to 6:5 which destroys the game.

What are the rules on doubling?

Does the casino allow you to double down on any two cards or just 10-11? If the casino allows you to double down on any two cards the game is beatable no matter how many times they shuffle. Off the first shuffle the house will only have a .16% advantage with basic stragedy. If you look at the cards in other peoples hands you can use optimal stragedy and get an edge off of the first deal.
For example you have 12 and the dealer has a 2 up basic stragedy says to hit but if you notice that there are very few tens around you should stay because you have a higher probility of getting a 10.

If you have 16 vs a dealer 10 basic stragedy says to hit but if someone next to flips over a pair of 5's to double you should stay.

A great book that you should read to become much better at blackjack is Playing Blackjack as a Business it will make you a much better player and Casinos will fear you.
