Hi
I bellieve i have a very special situation in the casino in my town.
The rules are:
6 decks (66% penetration-but i know one dealer and she said if i want to
she can insert the cut card lower for me)
DAS
Stand on S17
Double any two cards
No peek-its Europe-but there is a hole card
Insurance on ace
Split any two cards with the same value
I don't know about resplitting pairs yet
Bets are 5-100€
And the best thing: They offer surrender right after you receive your
cards (i guess in my case (no peek) early and late surrender are the same)
I intend to learn the basic strategy for a game like this from:
http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bjbse.php?numdecks=6+decks&soft17=s17&dbl=all&das=yes&surr=es&peek=no
Is this ok?
This page tells me that i actually have a 0.08% edge over the house just
like that without counting-but another page tells me my edge would be a healthy 0.20% but i guess early surrender can have a
different effect on peek games-but i don't really see how.
Is this game really -EV for them????
They seem to be oblivious to the fact that their game is -EV for them if
u play perfect BASIC strategy without counting at all.
They have never thrown out someone because they counted - i guess it
never happened yet since counting is totally unknown in our country and
i guess in Europe in general.
The comment was if u want to count you are welcome to do so-you wont be
able to remember all the cards anyway .
One problem is that usually only one BJ table is available so i cant
stand up when the count drops and go to another one.
Well i thought id become profficient in Hi/Lo counting-i would not like
to learn some super tough counting system for now.
I thought that since you have to stand up in a 0.5% edge table when the
count drops to -1 i could stay here a bit longer.
My questions are:
-what is my expected value per bet with these rules with and without
counting?
-what should be my bankroll?
I am a mathematician so don't be afraid to use any kind of formulas or
equations in your answer.
Thank you
