Level 1 Non-negotioble chips that stay with you on a win and can be bet anywhere in the casino, these chips are almost like cash except you have to play until you lose a hand. Level 2 One play only win or lose keep on a push can play any where in the whole casino including long shot bets. The best bet in the situation is a straight number bet on roulette not winning the bet to often actually helps you because there is a big payoff when it hits and winning the bet cost you an extra penalty because you have to surrender your chips. In this case the chips are worth about 90% of face value if you bet this way if you bet on blackjack they are worth about 47% of face value.
Level 3 promotional chips these chips have to be bet on a bet that pays even money and you surrender the chips win or lose. If you play blackjack with these chips and get a blackjack you only get even money. These chips are worth about 47% of face value!

What is the best way to play level 3 chips?

I would bet it on "Bank" at (Mini)-Baccarat.

You will win nearly 52% of the resolved bets.

You will pay 5% commission upon winning.

Tie Bets occur about 9% of the time - irrelevant in this situation.

"Bank" wins about 46%

"Player" wins about 45%

SEE: http://wizardofodds.com/baccarat

"The house edge is 1.06% on the banker bet, 1.24% on the player bet, (and 14.36% on the tie)."

"Bacrate" (baccarat) question

FlashWhoBetsBanker, someone, anyone... I have never played baccarat but have watched the game being played a few times. Two sides, player and banker... it's a coin flip as to which side bangs the hand but you have to pay a 5% "commission" for one of these sides. I have asked about this once before to a dealer whom I know and trust (who shrugged and said,"I have no f*cking clue") and also an Asian, who said,"Ah pray bank bank come out more often! Bank Rearry rearry good" in broken english that I could barely make out, making it senseless to try to ask them to go into further detail as to WHY one side would come out more often than the other. They had a lot of chips in front of them so they knew the answer, I'm sure.

Do you bet the "banker" and pay the 5% just to show what a wild and crazy guy you truly ARE or is there any logical reason for this? WHY is it 46% to 45%? Does it have to do with the way the cards are dealt?

I would bet my promotional chips on number "44" at the roulette wheel, OF COURSE!

Confusion re: Baccarat

What ALWAYS confuses non-players is the use of the terms "Banker" and "Player"

Hearing that makes the uninformed think that there is a "for" and "against";
perhaps similar to the "pass line" and "don't pass" line wagers on a craps table.

They are simply 2 hands in opposition playing by a different set of rules.

The rules of the game dictate when a hand stands or draws.
The player never has options to exercise re: drawing / standing.
They are NOT identical for "Banker" and "Player".

As such Banker wins > 50% of the time, so a "commission" is charged.

Betting "Banker" is the only wager that you can make in a casino that wins > 50% of the time.

the house edge is 1.06% on the banker bet, 1.24% on the player bet, and 14.44% on the tie.

Amazing CRAPS Factoid !

Noteworthy is our Tarzan's endorsement of betting "44" at Roulette.

If ever you hear a booming baritone chest-pounding (Johnny Weismuller) Tarzan "yell"
coming from a Craps table you'll know that it was our own redoubtable Tarzan
winning a $44 bet on number 44 at the special odds of 44 to one.

Rumor has it that "degenerate" dice maniac - John McCain - always played 44
because he was a 44 to 1 longshot to become the 44th Prez of our Republic.

In this case since you lose the chips on a win I thought that the players bet might be a better bet. When you keep the money on a win it might be a differen't story. Figuring the odds when you play roulette a straight number beat the hell out of any even money bet when you could bet any where in the whole casino!

For level 1 always bet on Player. This is why.
Say you have $100 MP you would bet another $100 cash on Banker simultaneously. Wait no matter how many times Player comes up you just recycle your Bankers $100 bet. When the Bankers bet win then you have cashed out your MP coupon for $95.

For Level 2 bet $100 MP coupon on Banker and $50 on Player simultaneously. If Player wins you win $50. If Banker wins you would cash out for $95-$50 i.e. $45.

What about Casino War?

With level 3 promotional chips you have to consider that these promotional chips are valued at a value that is way less than cash chips! That is why taking a player bet in bacratte caries a lower house edge even though banker wins more often! Avoiding the 5% commision puts more money in your pocket!

Casino War is a game that has been abandoned by nearly every casino that i know of, but I imagine that someone is still offering it.

In Casino War you win precisely 50% of your wagers, but will lose in the long run
due to the tie bets where you have to surrender 100% of your bet (in effect you lose)
or double just your side of the bet (which has the same effect)
