Hi,

What is the correct basic strategy play for 88 vs A in a Double Deck H17 game with Late Surrender?

The basic strategy engine here and the Wizard of Odds seem to disagree, with the former saying Split and the latter saying Surrender.

Notice DAS and NDAS only makes a difference(according to our stratgey engine) in a DD game when the dealer hits S!7(unsure the effects of S17). Use this BS play and our index only if Late SR is offered. Whether the dealer hits S17 and whether you can DAS or not is minimal.

For example, i have two indexes. One for LSr and another for all others w/o lSr.

Sr@-1

Stand+5*(dont split)+(NO Sr)

It apparently makes a difference if you can double after splitting.
Makes sense. The game I am interested in has DAS, so it looks like P is the play here.

Im sorry, i got cofused once again with this schizophrenic hand. Disregard my above post. You could actually get pretty technical with this hand if you wanted. Not to mention Hard 16. I just made it easy on myself and always split them Its your or anyone elses decision what they want to do with this hand.

Now with H16vA i use 3 different index'es. H17/S17/Lsr
