Thanks for that. Great story.Sucker said:Although I got barred there years ago, and the place is really not worth going back to anyway; the Nugget in Searchlight has (or had) a table with no BOXES - just one long betting line (similar to the insurance betting line). As long as you had room to put a bet somewhere on that line, and as long as there was room for the dealer to place the cards; you would be dealt a hand. The table max was only $50, so our 3 man team would play 3 spots each. At times there would be as many as four or five other players also, for a total of something like 12-15 hands going at once. Those were the good old days....
Nine spots and only seven chairs. Another brilliant idea from casino management.Percy said:9 box BJ. Is this a record?
I remember that place, although it was completely dead when I was there. It was a fun 4D game at the time. They had 2 tables but only one was open. The tables were so close to the wall that the pit boss had to sit right next to the dealer. He sat there reading a magazine until the dealer went on break, at which point they just switched places. They even read the same magazine. Isn't that the place with the one-lane bowling alley too?Sucker said:the Nugget in Searchlight has (or had) a table with no BOXES - just one long betting line (similar to the insurance betting line).
That's the kind of thing they ought to make movies about! The rip roarin' days of blackjack. Three-man teams playing nine spots! Hole carding, I hope. Couldn't get many rounds with 15 players, least not single deck. :laugh:Sucker said:Although I got barred there years ago, and the place is really not worth going back to anyway; the Nugget in Searchlight has (or had) a table with no BOXES - just one long betting line (similar to the insurance betting line). The two spots without chairs are for wongers since they will be leaving at the end of the shoe anyway.Sonny said:Nine spots and only seven chairs. Another brilliant idea from casino management.
