A bad day

$75 out, 10 to double down against a 6 with a Count of 38 (my IRC for 6 deck is +5, Pivot is 21, Key is 22 :D).

Dealer's hole card... 2. Then 4, 2, 2, 5 :-( Can u imagine...

Then the count was somewhat around 40... U see tremendouse high... I bet 250 bucks I mean what can happen?

Get a Ace and a 9 for a solide 20. Dealer is showing a 2. Hole card is a 10, then I thought there must be another 10. BUT... 2, 2, 5 for 21! Can I believe that shit?

The two 80 years old (couple) almost got a heart attack next to me.

Another attack: 75 Bucks out, 2 x 7 against a dealer 6. I split and get a 5 and stand on the first hand. Get a 8 for 15 and stand. Dealer gets a 5 and 3 and a 7 for 21.

How in the hell is that possible I thought?

I hate those days...

Which were your worst days/nights at the table where everything should be so clear and save... Let's talk about to share these darkest moments in a card counters life!!!

Your bet was ok for the extreme-high count, but 2x $135 was the correct bet.

We have those days, and then the pendulum swings the other way and there are sessions where we can't seem to bust our stiffs no matter how high the count. zg

Hi,

how did u come up with 2 x $135? I thought with KO Count 10 x is max. of the minimum bet (which would be $250 max at $25 min.)?

Two hands of 135 is better than one at 250 because you get more money on the table (270), and it reduces your risk by spreading the bet over 2 hands instead of just one.

I thought that when you bet two hands that they should each be at 75% of your max bet, which would be 2 hands of 185. But Zengrifter knows more than I do!

Mack, with 2 hands you bet 50% more$ without increased risk. Arguably, with that particular $250 bet and your then-BR, you could have bet 2X $175. zg

WOW! With a Key of 21, your pivot would be +29 using your IRC of +5. I can't recall ever seeing a count that is 12 over the Pivot with 6-deck. I do know that I've lost a lot of max bet hands with counts over pivot though!

Tough break.

My first day I actually had 10k in cash I thought okay now im really going to make some money. Went to Jackpot spread 25-200 on a good 2deck game. Lost all my big bets just keep losing and losing. I kept getting 13-16vs.dealer10. Dealer would hit to twenty one. Everything went wrong. I lost 2k, went out to my car got another 2k. Same thing kept happening. Lost most of that and then i went home. So i lost 3.5k in a hour and a half! only betting 200 max! The odds of this or worse happening are less than 1% according to BJRM.
