A multiaction distraction

Would you change your strategy in any way playing multiaction and playing up to 7 spots, 3 deep? We are talking $5 per spot here.

I treat everything just like it was a regular game.

Some say don't bust one because you bust them all but that makes no sense.

I think most will agree everything is the same but I wonder about the variance a little just out of curiosity. They say with 2 hands your swings a little lighter. So then with 21 hands it must change alot.

You know how it works. Dealer lays out one card and hits it 3 different times for the 3 layers of play.

So, instead of a standard game where you might play three spots vs the dealer, you play one spot versus three dealers, sorta kinda?

Well, in standard blackjack, variance increases, but does not double, when you start playing the second spot (they're linked by the common dealer hand, but made different by totally different player hands).

It sounds like in multi action, if you played versus two 'dealer hands', then variance would increase, and would increase more than standard blackjack. This is because the results not only depend on one player hand, but also share the first card of the dealer's hand (and if that card is like a 6 or an ace, that's a big deal).

A BS player would just play BS and make no changes.

A counter would change his betting strategy when he has the advantage.
