AC First Impression

My first visit there, only got to Trop and Trump.

Trop games are OK as reported here: S17 and OK pen. Few tables were open any of the tim,es I was there and they were crowded. Pretty easy to get seats at $25 tables, but not easy to get heads up.A few $15 tables were pretty full.

AC seems to have a lot of degenerate gamblers and homeless people (ex degenerate gamblers????). I saw a couple on street that were falling down loaded, probably on heroin. Two guys on ta Boardwalk bench that were probably junkies and a cop there. One guy was slumped over and the cop was on his radio. The slumped over guy was taken away ..... probably OD'ing, maybe dead.

There were a lot of people on the BW in the afternoon, but they might as well have shut it down at 9PM -- pretty dead after that. I suspect that's because the afternoon folks were day trippers. A lot of them were elderly.

If AC ever was a place to go just for fun it's fast losing that. I can see where it may be a good place to play BJ, but otherwise it's kind of depressing.

Cuba Libre restaurant in Trop has great Cuban food. Get reservations if you go.

The Chelsea was like it was in a ghost town on Monday and Tuesday: restaurant and bars were closed. If teh coffe shop was open at all it's hours were very limited. I could have stared at the Trop for about the same and would have been closer to things.

Trump had a single deck game of course it paid BJ 6/5. Still it was full even in teh afternoon.

on your next trip head over to Borgata, tons of open tables (of all limits $10-$50 on the floor)...very clean and classy place.

Casey, there is some Single Deck BJ games.

That was the (dubiously) good news.

The bad news is that they are all 6/5 games.

While they are beatable with a wide enough spread,
a big enough bankroll, and a strong enough count;
i.e. Hi-Opt II or AO II; it will soon result in the dread
counter-measures being tasken against you for being
sufficiently audacious to use your brains and your
bankroll to "take a shot" at the casino's coffers. :devil:
