ace only count

It seems to me that nearly all of a counter's advantage comes from the 3:2 payout on blackjack. On a high count the dealer has the same % of getting a bj as the player. So i was thinking what if a person only kept track of the aces. For example you are playing a 2 deck game and 1 deck is dealt. Only one ace has come out. So there are seven aces remaining in the remaining pack. This would seem to be a very advantageous situation regardless of the amount of 10's that have been dealt. Because im also betting on some soft double downs coming my way. It would be interesting to see some numbers on this type of play, and how it would compare to a typical level one count.

re: counting aces

I've thought about that idea on occasion. I would think that if you play single (maybe double deck) with correct BS you should theorhetically at least improve your EV, by how much? I can't say. Maybe the math profs can find the answer. I do know that several of the counting systems tell you to increase bet size with a surplus of aces, so it seems logical that this would hold true here .Just from observation you will get a BJ 1:21 hands and BS accounts for this,so if you increase your bets with ace count, you should improve your overall EV with the greater frequency bj
