So when a deck is positive, it has more 10-Aces.

Why is it that this gives you better odds? Is it just because that when a deck is positive the dealer has a slightly higher probability of busting?

And would you recommend bringing 3 others to the table that know what is going on? Just so no one screws you over and decides to 'play against everyone' and not just the house?

You also get paid more for a blackjack than the dealer does. If the dealer gets a blackjack, you only lose your initial bet, but if you get blackjack, you win 1.5 times your bet. more 10s and aces=more blackjacks

I would not recommend that if it will get you noticed by the pit critters. If you have trust issues with your teammates, maybe you should reconsider being their teammate.

Getting more blackjacks is probably the biggest thing working in your advantage in a high count. But after that, there are a few more subtle effects:

1) You get slightly fewer stiff hands
2) Your double downs work slightly better
3) The dealer busts slightly more

Also, during a high count, even if another player was "playing against you", there's not much he could really do to change anything (just like any other time at the time). Sure, he could start taking cards like a maniac to try to 'eat' the positive ones, but if he ended up eating low cards, he'd make the count even more positive for you.

Thanks for the help but one more thing.

Is there anyone that I can just message a few questions to? because I have several.

Or if someone had aim or msn that I could talk on, but messaging back and forth is fine too.

Thanks, any help is appreciated, especially from a few of the more experienced / high post people.
