Atlantic City minimums

What kind of minimums can I expect on a Monday 9am-4pm? Do you think I'll be able to find any $5 mins, and if so, which casinos would be more likely to have them? I'm still pretty new at counting, so I'd much rather have a spread of $5-$20 than $10-$25. I'm going with a bankroll of $400 (maybe not enough!)

Thanks!

You're kidding yourself if you think you will gain an advantage in AC with a $10-$25 spread or a $5-$20 spread. There is absolutely no way you will be able to get the edge over the house in AC with a $400 bankroll.

Just have fun, get some casino experience, and don't worry about it.

Then start saving money for a real bankroll, where you can spread enough to turn the game to your advantage.

What would you say would be a reasonable bankroll and spread to have a chance at an advantage in A.C.? (At least reasonably close to my ballpark) Assume that I am wonging in and out quite frequently.

Thanks.

The Mayor is right. That spread will get you only a microscopic edge. Of course, your $400 bankroll is probably barely even large enough to spread $5 to $20 (a more statistically inclined person could tell you exactly what your risk of ruin would be). If you have bigger bankroll, and more confidence in your game, you can easily spread $5 to $100 in AC.

$5 games are rare in AC. The only place that will certainly have $5 games off-peak is the Wild West casino (all 8 deck) - adjacent to the main Bally's casino. If it is really dead, you might find $5 games in some of the other casinos - I've seen them at Borgata (in the low limit pit in front of the noodle restaurant) in really slow times. Borgata is all 6 deck.

On weekday mornings, you should be able to find $10 games just about everywhere.

Well I really don't agree here. Most of the posts here talk about huge bankroll but let me tell you something. I go arount 25-30 time a year to the casinos always with a $5-$100 spread. I always change 200$ at the beginning and let say that 75% of the time, I don't need to change more money for 8-10 hours at the tables. My limits are once I'm over 1k, I'm gone and it simply work the best for me. No needs to be greedy.
