Atlantic City survey?

http://www.WizardOfOdds.com has a great survey of Blackjack games in Las Vegas.
When you search "survey" they redirect you to wizardofvegas.com or something like that.
They give you the breakdown of the number of decks, rules, etc.,
although they forgot to include face-up vs face-down for the double-deck games.
I did a search for "Atlantic City survey", but nothing came up.

That's cause the Wizard is based in Vegas. Just read the messages in this section to get an idea of what AC offers. I can tell you that if you're a bs player, your best bet is to play the $15 DD table at the Hilton. If you're a counter, then you're looking at $15 minimums most likely for 6 deck S17 DOA games At the Trop and the Borgata and $25 for other properties.

I use the Hi-Lo method, and mostly do $25 tables. I try to do 1-10 spread,
and sometimes go to 2 hands of $150 each.
I don't back-count, but do Wong out at TC of -1 or -2.
I prefer 6 decks over 8 decks, and according to Automatic Monkey
there're only 4 casinos in Atlantic City that offer 6 decks.
Borgata, Hilton, Trump Plaza, & Resorts.
He's right. I've been to all 4 and they do indeed offer 6 decks.
Trump Plaza has the 8-deck discard tray in the 6-deck game,
so gauging the discard tray becomes a bit tricky.
The double deck games (2 tables) at Hilton were so crowded that I couldn't get a seat.
However, the pit was so focused on the double-deck games that they neglect the
6-deck games.
Resorts has only 2 tables that offer 6-decks, so Wonging out isn't easy.
I guess I'm limited to those 4 casinos unless I give the 8-decks a try again.
In 8 decks, not only is the depth of penetration poor, but the true count doesn't
fluctuate frequently. The TC goes to one side and stays there without moving
too much, which sucks. Even if the TC becomes positive, it has to rapidly drop
(meaning that lots of high cards come out) for me to benefit from the positive
true count. Eight deck games just don't do that often enough.

There are additional 6D games in the HL pits in other AC casinos, some of which have $50 mins and even $25 during slow periods.

You need the running count to drop, NOT necessarily the TC

Hey 21forme, I don't play in high-limit pits.
I like to conveniently Wong out when the count becomes hopelessly negative.
Also, they watch you more closely in the high-limit pits.

Tropicana as well, sometimes as low as $15 min during slow periods

Are you sure about Tropicana?
On my last visit, I was looking for "Resorts" on the map and saw
"Tropicana Casino and Resort" and I got confused and walked in thinking
that it's the "Resorts Casino Hotel".
I didn't ask if they use 6 decks or 8 decks, but I saw that they have the
8-deck discard tray so I assumed that it was 8 decks.
Is it another case where they use the 8-deck discard tray for the 6-deck game?

There's a very small difference in expectation percentage. I have occasionally experienced super long positive runs, going to +28 (KO RC). But in general I don't like the wait time, and the greater amount of play in negative territory playing 8-deck. So like you I play 6-deck as much as I can. But I wouldn't turn down an 8-deck game, S17, DOA, DAS, with great pen.

True. However, several of them are still very playable for short sessions, and I always wong out in negative counts, even in the HL pit. If playing heads up, it's a great way to get them to reshuffle, since you can't come back in. PM me if you want some specific info.

Yes, the Trop does this :)
