I posted a while ago about how both casinos had refused to show me the cards in play both before and after a table opened/closed, and how I seemed to see a lack of 10 value cards. I wrote to the gambling commission and my member of local elected member and got a response that they had received several complaints would be providing extra checks.
Well, they got busted. They were found to be using pontoon cards in blackjack, re-using decks that were missing cards, and seemingly weirdly, to be using decks in texas holdem ring games that were missing cards (probably because at least 1/3 of the players are actually casino employees - i have seen them walk to casino staff only areas after games - any easy way to proven this is to walk upto the game with tones of money and act like a drunk idiot, you can bet a seat will open up almost instantly).
And guess what, they got a meger $16,000 fine and were only sited for 3 individual offenses. They only get busted as if they played out 1 hand of a game with a rigged deck - the actual hand they get busted on. What a joke.
Don't ever play at Australian casinos. They legally have the right to:
-never show the cards to you. Only the commission appointed supervisor has the right to ask them to do this.
-shuffle at any time for any reason.
-they are immune from being prosecuted in any way by anyone trying to get their money back after a hand of play is completed, even if they are proven to be cheating. You are essentially betting 'at your own risk'
Also, as i also posted here and i guess most people through i was crazy, they clearly rig blackjack shuffle machine games by using pontoon decks. I once counted 50 at hands a blackjack table with no '10' value cards (they had to be using a pontoon machine). what could I do? Nothing. The floor manager said he would open another table for me so I could play on another machine, but refused to spill the cards out for examination, and refused to entertain the idea of me in any way getting my money back. Once I even mentioned this security was sent over....
