Bally's in AC is offering 7x points on Sundays in October. It doesn't apply to tier points (i.e. making platinum or diamond), and I don't think it applies to cashback (for whoever was planning to play 24 hours of video poker).

Just your total rewards points. You can use these for tobacco, which is sellable, if you're looking for a way to make cash off of this.

Good eye for a promo Moo. That's a decent opportunity for someone looking to get their Diamond, because Bally's has full-pay progressive JoB VP, and the 7X makes it +EV outright. If the prog gets high enough it changes your strategy a bit too.

I wouldn't recommend the tobacco because it's probably illegal to resell it without a tax stamp and it is surely marked up so high that you'd be better off waiting for a cashback promo to cash them out. Remember those points are good at any HET property and there are a lot of them.

Comp Dollars - You get these while playing and you can't check them on-line, only at kiosks at casinos. You use these for food, rooms, steakhouse comps, tobacco, whatever. Some of the nicer restaurants and tobacco may require 2:1 use of your points to buy.

At the very least, you can get 2:1 on gift cards. That's a little better than slot play, but still, if you can run your free roll through a full pay VP machine or BJ machine it's no big deal. Some stores have occasional promotions where you can cash out at 1:1 but you have to time it right and you may have to travel.

I've gotten offers from Ballys AC and Showboat about once a year for converting comp dollars into cash. A few years ago, I was at Harrahs Council Bluffs and you can do it there any time. Have no idea if that's still the case.

I think 1 comp dollar earned at a table game = 100 reward credits.

Honestly, I'm never 100% sure with them.

There are laptops which are notebooks, and there are netbooks. Full function laptops/notebooks have built in CD/DVD drives, a variety of video outputs, and/or multiple data I/O plugs. They usually have faster CPUs and better video screens. Netbooks are much more basic. They usually are smaller, don't have built in drives, less video output options if any, and less data I/O - usually only have one or two USB slots. Netbooks usually have less powerful CPUs, video cards, and video screens. They're designed to provide basic operating system, word processing, and internet surfing capabilities. A few other programs or functions are just small bonuses. Around $500 is about right for the price of a netbook. Some netbooks sell for $250 or $300, and you'll see a lot of those deals on the Black Friday sale. (Ever stay up all night long after Thanksgiving dinner to wait in line at Best Buy to get the door buster deals?)

There are many different Sony VIAO desktop, laptop, and netbooks.

I'm going to guess that you have a netbook, and $469 comp dollars may be about right for the price. Look up the model of your netbook, maybe it only retails for $400.

Seriously? I think they have one of the most transparent programs out there. Put your card into almost any machine and it gives you your comp balance as of a very short while ago.

Agreed. And their online booking while logged into TR tells you everything you need to know about where, when and how much (if anything) the rooms will be at any Harrah's casino hotel.
