Barred but lots of comps

Backed off but lots of comps

So I've been getting increasing amounts of comps ever since being asked not to play at one particular place. Each time i've gone back i've played unrated after the incident but now the comp's they are sending have gotten large (several max bets) basically begging me to come back.

I want to go back and use them I just wondered would people here use it on a different table game? Like walk up to craps and put it on pass the line or something? I'm nervous that if i even attempted to sit at the BJ table i'd be thrown out and then maybe further action against me to the point where I can't even play unrated but thought another table game they may ignore, obviously i'd leave as soon as the i've won or lost the free bets.

So, would you 1) play a different game with the free bets, 2) attempt to use at BJ table or 3) not risk any trouble over comps and just ignore them.

well, i was told not to come back. I was not trespassed though...so whatever you'd call that.

Edit: So i changed the named to backed off but don't think it changes the thread title. I'm still a little fuzzy on whether it'd be barred or backed off though as i figured backed off is being told to leave, barred is being told to leave and never come back and trespassed being told to leave and never come back or else...

It depends partially on WHERE this happened.

It sounds like you were betting rather large.

If you approach a BJ table, you are inviting a trespass,

but more likely they will just expand your (seeming)

"back-off" to all games.

If you show up again for a 3rd episode you will be treated badly.

You are receiving match-play coupons.

Drop them on a craps table or on a mini-baccarat table.

P.M. me if you like.

Nowadays, most match play coupons are only good for one play only - win, lose; or push. Because of the high frequency of pushes in blackjack; blackjack is one of the WORST games in which to use a match play coupon. The best bet for match play coupons is "pass" or "don't pass" at the craps table; in which it's not possible to tie. Mini bacc hands tie about 9.6% of the time, so that's not really a good place to play them either.

Really? They take your coupon on a push? I have never had that happen. I probably have only played a couple hundred in my carreer, so pushes actually happened only a handful of times, but I have never had anyone take the coupon on a push. Pretty damn cheap! Sound like something the "empire" would do.

I have never had a match play taken from me on a push.

Furthermore the frequency of ties in baccarat is similar to that of blackjack.

Receiving marketing offers from a casino that barred you is considered an invitation back to the casino. Milk the offers till they're gone, and don't give them any other action.

Can you play the coupon annonymously? Some stores want a players card to use a coupon. If it is annonymous just drop it on the craps table. If they want a players card I would not play it. (Unless of course you were just backed off blackjack and are still allowed on site).

Don't Pass also can push. The fine print on coupons is very important, and most of the time when someone asks me "What's the best way to play this coupon?" the answer is "I don't have enough information to answer."

Most I have seen are only good for even money bets, in which case I put it on Don't Pass if I keep it on a push, or Pass if I lose it on a push.

If you keep it on a push Pai Gow Poker might be an interesting place to bet it, as by defying ordinary PG strategy you can force a lot of pushes there until you get a killer hand.

Depends, I was 86'd and trespassed from a casino in Tunica...then got several $2000 free chip offers for 3 months but would have had to go to the cage to redeem and they would call surveillance to watch the payout...decided it would just be a waste of time.

If it was freeplay or something that required less interaction I might have put a hat and sunglasses on and tried to sneak in.

Depends on the casino and the fine print.

ASA is absolutely correct; LEGALLY you have been invited back into that casino, and your trespass has been LEGALLY rescinded. Had you gone back to redeem those offers, they would have been FORCED to redeem them. Had they decided to NOT honor them, or to f*** with you in any way; you would have have a very nice lawsuit!

When I receive offers from a place I've been 86'd from, I always save them; never knowing when they'll come in handy ;).

The casino has indeed invited you back.
Well … "marketing" has anyway.
So … for the moment, you are safe from arrest for trespassing.

However, you can be re-trespassed at anytime.

The casino has the absolute right to cancel any and all comps including match play, free rooms, etc. without explanation.

IF your name is on the coupon, you'll be asked for I.D.; and when the computer display
pops up … the cashier will direct you to speak to your host or "someone in player development"
or may even tell you that the offer has, indeed, been revoked.

Thanks for the responses. There are no details on the coupons decribing whether a push or not ties nor any other descriptions or limitations listed. I have used similar ones prior to the incident and the way it worked was i give it to pit and give them my card and they come back a minute later and let me place the bet. I think I'm going to try and put it on another table game and see what happens, hoping for the best. Thanks again for the info.

Banned
I was only told my blackjack action was unwanted once. They said I was welcome to play any other game in the casino. Is that that banned or backed off? I know it isnt a trespass. Been banned from throwing dice a number of times.

Im an east coaster and rarely make it to Vegas but all of these were in Vegas. In AC if they gave me a hard time throwing the dice I would tell them, "I dont think it really helped me but it made me feel better. Like all things in gambling sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I know when it works it looks like your really doing something." ;) They would usually say they know that but they are required to say something and apologize. Sometimes that ended the heat.

What is up with Vegas anyway. For every guy who can actually succeed as an AP player there are many many who think they can but cannt. I think it is a net gain for them.

I have been turned down for offers (after being backed off) many times. You're saying legally they owe them to me?

Because I created a post about this awhile back and people said they DO NOT have to give them to me.
