Barring right next to me!

After all these years, I finally saw it happen. Guy shows up and places a bet. Three security people appear from behind. One says, "push the chips back." Player does not say a word! He collects his chips, proceeds to the cage with security following, cashes out, then they all walk to the exit. It was so fast and quiet I almost missed it. I asked my dealer. He said the player was 86'd. It turns out this player was a regular local and everybody knew him.

While everyone was distracted, you should of split to 6 hands and started betting table max on a good count :)

I was once at a table when someone was 86'd and it was another forum member.

On another note, I was once the recipient of the dreaded 5-50 placard in AC (in the HL pit of the Marina house that changed corporate names not long ago) and the two other players at the table were totally oblivious to it - not even a question like, "what's that all about?"

How does this affect splits and double downs? Can he play multiple spots?
At that point I got up and left. Theoretically one could continue to play, but it's not productive. The longer you stay, the more likely they will remember you when you return, some time in the future. My guess is if I stayed and spread to more than one hand of $50, they would have restricted me to one hand and cut the shoe in half.

This would have been my first inclination as well! It's nice to want to lash out, but I would never actually do it....

...or would i? Maybe not, unless it was really warranted and I wouldn't care about the possibility of never playing there again.

Maybe before I retire. But that's a LONG way away

You generally don't want to draw any type of attention to yourself. Also its bad if the casino personnel begin to view you as an a**hole.
