I concur... That would be correct BS for DAS 2D S17. (don't know about Jersey)cpage727 said:I was looking at the basic strategy engine for 2D, S17, DS no surrender and it shows to split a 7,7 vs 8 and split a 6,6 vs 7, can someone please verify that I'm reading this right(i AM from jersey and you know we can't read) and if so why these plays? thanks
Yes , the BS you are reading is correct if DS means DAS (double after split). The pair of 7's and 8's do expand by one notch vs. nDAS, primarily due to the fact that these pair splits can match up with the corresponding double down combinations and can therefore allow the player to increase his total bet in an advantageous situation.cpage727 said:I was looking at the basic strategy engine for 2D, S17, DS no surrender and it shows to split a 7,7 vs 8 and split a 6,6 vs 7, can someone please verify that i'm reading this right(i AM from jersey and you know we can't read) and if so why these plays? thanks
iCountNTrack said:The doubling after split makes splitting 7s vs 8 and 6s vs 7 a very slightly better play than hitting (about 0.04% better for 7,7vs 8). I wouldn't worry too much about them anyway because they are very rare plays anyway.
I don't know what you are talking about, the roads and streets signs are the worst in New Jersey. Your vision should be perfect after so many years of training
Street signs???...my GPS is set for Borgata, Taj Mahal, and a few others. It's easy. But sometimes it is hard to get out of indoor parking lots. I have learned to follow the arrows. If they go up, turn around and go the other way. If they go down, you are usually on the right track.cpage727 said:street signs??? they don't even let me drive here!
Is either 66v7 or 33v8 a reverse split???iCountNTrack said:The doubling after split makes splitting 7s vs 8 and 6s vs 7 a very slightly better play than hitting (about 0.04% better for 7,7vs 8). I wouldn't worry too much about them anyway because they are very rare plays anyway.

What do you mean by "reverse" split?jack said:Is either 66v7 or 33v8 a reverse split???
The more positive the count is, the more likely we are to split, except for 88vX. A reverse split, is the lower the the count is, the MORE likely we are to split. 88vX and 33v7 are the only two, I know of.aslan said:What do you mean by "reverse" split?
Okay. I just never called it that.jack said:The more positive the count is, the more likely we are to split, except for 88vX. A reverse split, is the lower the the count is, the MORE likely we are to split. 88vX and 33v7 are the only two, I know of.
