Basic Strategy Chart

Hi - Does any have or know where I can snag a basic strategy chart that is reliable. I have seen a few but they all differ to some degree.

I would be looking for a chart that tells you to split only when double down is an option or other wise hit etc.

Thanks

Thank you all for your response. I got an opportunity to look at the charts on this web-site and I am comfortable. I always thought that you would hit 16V 9, 10 A as this is what BS states. I believe it is a losing hand, but you lose less if you hit. Games that offer surrender, I guess that is what you do. I never thought I would employ a surrender strategy, but losing half your bet every time I guess is better than losing it all most of the time.

What about 11 V A, is that an automatic double or simple hit? This is where some BS charts say double and other say hit. I'm not worried about the count at this point, just trying to nail down basic strategy before making a deviations based on count etc.

11 Vs A is a double if the dealer hits on soft 17 and a hit if the dealer stands on soft 17.

Interesting John, whats the rational to that? Where I play, dealers stands on soft 17, but why does it make a difference when doubling or not vs A. Thanks

"some BS charts say double and other say hit."

You don't seem to be grasping that there are dozens of BS charts reflecting how many decks you're playing against (from one to eight) and all the interactions of various rules, including S17 or H17, doubling restrictions, splitting restrictions, surrender, DAS, etc. There isn't ONE BS that fits all. There are dozens.

So, as recommended, use the BS engine to customize a BS chart that corresponds precisely to the rules of the game you play most frequently, and learn that version of BS.

Clear?

Thanks guys. Sometimes the chart is only as good as the people who put them out. When I reviewed multiple charts (different websites) same game, there was a slight difference in plays. This why I asked where I could get something that is reliable. I'm knew to this site.

Thanks

Could you give some examples of those differences?

Even in a game where the dealer stands on soft seventeen doubling 11 v A is a pretty close decision, that is to say doubling is almost as good as hitting.
