I'm heading to Vegas next week, and am hoping this group can advise the casinos with the best 1 or 2 deck games. Thanks!

What stakes will you be playing? knowing the best $500 SD won't do most people much good, and if you are a black chipper, you won't care that an out of the way casino has a great $5 DDer.

El Cortez, but don't try spreading much or you'll be gone pretty faston the SD. DD you might get away with a $10-40 spread, but thats about it.
A pretty good $10 DD is at most Stations and Fiestas.

Note: Nearly all Single Deck games in Las Vegas are unplayable due to the 6:5 BJ payoff.
The very few 3:2 Single Deckers are VERY quick to 86' anyone who is capable of thinking.

In the last two weeks, I played about 16 hours at the Ec, spread over 5 days and three shifts. A $10 base, ramping up to $15 and letting a winning bet ride worked without a care. Even had a dealer tell me she didn't like dealing to a guy who just left because he was one of those card counters and never tipped. Played mostly the DD because it presents many scavenger opps, unlike the facedown SD game.
BTW-EC comps about $5 an hour for $10 betters. This is something new. Ended up with several Porterhouse steak dinners for my play.

The only other SD I played in Vegas was at the Western and penetration was a joke. With 3 players, it was 2 rounds.

Real SD exists only downtown, and most strip $10 games suck.

If you can play the $25 min, most MGM properties have fantastic DD games.

Mirage and MGM Grand are great DD $25 min tables. TI I think (while no longer MGM) still has a good DD $25 min as well.

Marty: What kind of spread can one get away with at the MGM DD's?

MGM watches their decent DD games very closely. Some call them counter traps and if they back you off while playing rated you will find that the information is passed on throughout all their casinos.
I play them all basically the same way. I play unrated, I leave before 45 minutes or one or two max bets depending on situations, but never longer than that 45 minutes.
I never return to the same casino on the same shift during a Vegas trip but might hit all 3 shifts at one casino.

I didn't mention MGM because I don't think a $10-$25 player will have the ability to spreadenough to hit these games.

I tried to search for this, but I swear someone respectable once posted that DD penetration at MGM properties was poor and that DD games off-Strip was a bajillion times better.

Am I on crack?

Put down that Pipe !!

The off-strip DD games are ALL H17 with pen' running from 50% to 70%

Some Strip Properties, like MGM, offer S17 and 60 to 70% pen'

The problems, you ask' ?

A. The good games are $25 minimums and up.

B. The level of surveillance protection on those games is very paranoid.

There are some DD games with better penetration than that off strip. I'm not aware of any S17 games though.
