From the Las Vegas Advisor:
As far as locations near the Strip are concerned, Las Vegas KOA at Circus Circus is the only RV park actually located on the Strip. It has 399 sites and the usual amenities including full hook-ups, restroom/showers, swimming pool, laundry, grocery store, telephones, and WiFi access, plus it's in close proximity to the Circus Circus casino and Adventuredome. Reservations can be made for up to a three-month stay, with rates varying from approximately $900/month in the winter up to $1,200 in the summer season (this was the only site we spoke to where prices were quoted as higher in the summer). You're advised to book about a month in advance if your proposed dates coincide with any major holiday or convention. Although no senior discounts are available, you may purchase a KOA value card when you make your reservation and this will give you a 10% discount off your stay and is valid for a year at any KOA site. We're not familiar with the park ourselves, but were informed by an authority on the subject that this park is pretty basic and probably not ideal if you're looking for a long-term place to stay. As with all things on the Strip, prices tend to be higher than you'll find further afield, so it's definitely not a bargain play, either.
The only other park located close to the Strip is the Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, located 4 miles south of the Strip at 2711 W. Windmill Lane. This is a more upscale location with 701 landscaped sites with amenities including full-hookups, family pool, adult pool and spa, 18-hole putting course, fitness center, convenience store, restaurant and 24-hour courtesy patrol. It's on the Las Vegas Strip trolley service route (which runs every 15 minutes from 9:30 am until 1:30 am costs $2 per person). As with KOA, reservations can be made for up to three months at a time, after which you must check-out and check back in again if you wish to extend your stay. Rates are cheaper in the summer months and start at $620.10 (plus tax, for the first month) for a standard site up to $845.10 (plus tax) for a "super premium" site. No RVs older than 10 years are allowed to stay on a monthly basis. A 10% discount is available with AAA, AARP, FMCA, or Good Sam cards and by booking your reservation online. For further information call 702/260-2000 or 800/566-4707 or visit their Web site at

If you're looking for a better deal, however, you should consider locations farther away from the Strip and our source suggests the various parks out on Boulder Highway, where you still have several casinos close by, and considerably lower prices. Summer (i.e., cheaper) rates come into play starting on May 1 and recommended options include: Arizona Charlie's Boulder RV Park, which has 239 sites and rates of $490.50/month back-in and $545 pull-thru (which, they informed us, have not been raised since December 2002); the Holiday Travel Park at 3890 S. Nellis Blvd., which has 403 sites and rates of $410/month back-in and $440 pull-thru; and Sam's Town, which has two parks comprising a total of almost 500 sites $552.90/month (back-in spaces only are currently available).
