I am a low better in every sence of the word with a maxbet of 10 dollar:joker: .Even this is probably overbetting for my bankroll but then again my bankroll is not that big and it would not be the end of the world if I lose.

Like I said my maxbet is 10 dollar. the minimum at the casinos where i play is usually 2 dollar but I wong in and out quite agresively or if i would sit down and play through a shoe I usually play 1 dollar each together with my girlfriend and then we bet two hands if the count goes up.
Now is this enough to give me an advantage or no?.

The games I play is a 6d, DAS, DoA,H17 and early surrender against anything but ace

YES. Stick to the wonging $2-10, quite sufficent provided that you get to $10 soon enough in the count. If you can bet $1 min, at the start of an occassional shoe, religiously wong out at a relatively early neg-count. zg

You're always playing with an advantage if you wong in and out properly, no matter what your bet spread is!

A 1-5 spread is kind of breakeven vs a shoe game, but as has already been mentioned, wonging is key to making it profitable.

Estimated earnings per hour will be very very low, but you should still have an edge.

yeah I know I am not betting enough to make any real money playing BJ. I see it more as practice and fun right now. If I keep playing I will eventually have enough experience so that once I get enough of an income to start bettig big I can get a big advantage:D .
10 dollar at +4. up untill now i have waited with putting 10 dollars out untill I get to +5 do you think I need to change it?
What would the best bettingspread be for every count?

Thanks for all your help:p

I would recommend you only practice with software, and max bet +4. That way when you do get a proper bankroll, the casinos won't already recognize you as a long term counter.

I am not that worried about heat right now altough i try not to be to obvious. I don't think that there are many casinos that would be worried about a counter betting 2-10 dollar.
and even if they do find out i doubt they will recognize me once i have a big enough bankroll to do some serious damage. I am living and playing abroad right now but I plan to go back and start my university studies soon enough and will then have to take a break from blackjack. Once I finish school and worked myself rich I will probably have changed enough for people not to recognise that easily
It would probably still be better to just practise with software but it is alot more fun playing at the tables. Besides even if I wasn't playing BJ I would still go to the casinos sometimes since my girlfriend is a big fan of slotmachines(despite my best efforts I can't make her realize that they are directly imported from hell to steal her money).
Practising like this gives me a chance to try to take some of the money that the casino stole back:devil: .

Actually, this gives me an idea. There are certain casinos that WILL sweat out a $2-$10 spreader. Maybe you should practice there. Work hard on your cover, then start being more blatent about it. In a sweat shop, the more blatent you are, the more the chance of being backed off approaches one. So keep pushing and pushing-- and keeping an eye on the pit. Learn from it. Learn what heat looks like, what it looks like when it's building. You'll learn a lot about what heat looks like so that it doesn't catch you by surprise when you become a large spread AP. Plus, you'll experience your first backoff in a place you can afford to never visit again. ;)

Sounds like a good idea I probably wouldn't recognize heat untill i was kicked out of the door right now. I am not sure there are any casinos like that where I live though.
I have visited most of the casinos here where I live and so far i haven't noticed any obvious heat even though i don't really use any real cover.
Since eveyone here speaks spanish and I don't(trying to learn), I have an excuse for not talking at the table though. :D . I am not sure I would be able to keep any advanced conversations at the table yet so I geuss I am lucky:p .
i haven't gotten any heat that I know of so I haven't bothered much with cover all though i geuss I will have to eventually. Does anyone know of any advantage or disadvantage of being from another country or speaking another language in Las Vegas. Would you get more or less heat?

Si, Seguro!

Es un buen idea para usar un otro idioma a las mesas de vez en cuando. After all Spanish is the official languge in Vegas. But what do I know, I don't speak it!

Yeah I kind of suspected that spanish would be a second language for many people that live in the Las Vegas area. My spanish is not the best yet so that wasn't what I had in mind.
Luckily I am fluent in swedish and german(pretty much)aswell.:D
the question remains. Any ideas on how to take advantage of a foreign language?
