Does anyone has more Information about it? There was a lot of good stuff online.
All gone. Richard sold the site a few years ago. The new owner stopped running ads a few months ago and then the domain expired. Pity.

Which analyzer?
BC/PE/ICAnalyzer 3.5

The one where you would manually input the value for each card, so it would automatically generate the efficiency. Kinda like the analyzer on CVdata.

BC.994
PE.67
IC.87

does that mean all that information has disappeared into a cyberspace black hole and it's hopeless for future retrieval?:(:whip:

I'll really miss their analyzer:cry:
Me too! I'm glad I still have the multi-parameter spreadsheet.

Ahh, maybe I can piece one together. I'm hosting Eric Farmer's BS analyzer at http://www.qfit.com/FreeBlackjackPrograms2.htm
Excellent! I just downloaded his old blackjack CA the other day when bjmath was still online. I'm getting a bit interested in programming to sad that the old forum there is gone too.

Hopefully not! Maybe the former owner still has all the files and will make them accessible again one day.

WiseFrog maybe give the Way Back Machine a try?
https://archive.org/

I will miss BJmath its where I got my start in Blackjack when I used to use the site for Kelly information in creating bet sizing for my trading systems. I also found this site in their links page, that was before Ken's site even had this forum.

The WayBack machine honors the robots.txt file retroactively. That is, the current domain holder has specified no archiving so archive.org deleted all archives.

I just went through this on GC. Still waiting for someone to say they have them, but I fear that even if they were available some of the authors may protest them being put back up .

It's all copyrighted. You need permission author by author. I'm trying to get permission for what I feel are a couple of the most valuable contributions. But some of these guys have also faded away.

I hope your effort will bear fruit.

I was pretty bummed when I noticed this a few weeks or so ago. I was just hoping it would be renewed. Guess not.

I did download a bunch of the stuff that intersted me but also didn't download stuff that interested me.

Am I violating copyright because I downloaded some articles or just if I distribute them?

If I have EOR's, can I calc BC, PE and IE with a sheet?

Would
correlation = A / B, where
A = sum { Ci * Pi } and
B = sqrt ( sum of Ci2 * sum of Pi2 )

work for BE?

I think it's no problem to keep the downloaded stuff in your personal library if you are not distributing it.

I understand you, there was so much valuable stuff, I thought it will be there for a long long time... :mad:

For calculation BC, PE and IC I use the EoR from BJA3 (softcover), Appendix D. It's fairly simple to set up in Excel.

Your formula is correct, at least it works in my sheet! :)

Assuming you distribute these articles for free, you got them for free off of the Internet, and the authors originally posted it on bjmath for free, is there any actual liability (monetary or criminal) for posting them up without permission?

I'm a big fan of intellectual property rights, but to a certain degree, I feel like a lot of people meant to push their work into the public domain. What's the punishment for assuming that's true and being wrong?

I think the worst that can happen is you get a cease and desist, then you take it down. No harm, no foul.

Even that's pretty unlikely, IMO. Post away!
