Blackjack hand quiz

Here is a bit of a quiz I came up with to see whether or not you'd take these "offers" if given to you (in other words, mention whether or not the EV would be favorable). Assume that you're not counting (or the count is neutral).

1. If both you and the dealer were to always start with a 10-valued card, would that be a good or bad deal?

2. If you were to always start with a pair of aces that could not be split, would that be a good or bad deal?

3. If you could choose between the dealer always having a 2 up or always having a 7 up, which one would you pick?

And what is the capital of Zimbabwe? while we are it.
Are you trying to quiz us or u actually seeking the answers. For these types of questions it would be best to run a CA calculation.

1. Bad idea EV (~-1%)
2. Good idea EV (~ +3.5%)
3. I always liked number 7 (+14% vs 9% for 2)

1. Bad. You catch up with the dealer by doubling, splitting and 50% BJ bonus. Both have ten, you can't never double or split. Also the chance of getting a Blackjack is 1/13 or 7.7%. That adds only 4.8% to your advantage.

2. Bad. Soft 12 is a terrible hand.

3. Choose 2. Bust rate for dealer's 2 up card is 35%, higher than 7's 26%.

These numbers are 100% correct, for single deck. And the only one that significantly changes for MORE than single deck is the second one (A-A). For double deck the players advantage drops to about 1.5%. For an eight deck shoe, the player's advantage is about .6%. This discrepancy is due to the fact that; the more decks are being used, the higher the probability that the dealer can get a blackjack.

I'd have been correct on 1 and 3, and figured AA would be good or it wouldn't have come up in these questions. My gut would have been to say AA is bad.
