I was just wondering how much you guys have put into the table to buy chips and if you are ahead at the end of the day after tipping or are behind. So far I have put $6,200 played for about 10 hours and cashed out $6,294 at least I'm not losing yet. Sure I had session where I won more than $500 but I also had sesssions in there where I lost more than $600!

I'm glad to see you're ahead. I am new to blackjack and using software to learn. I cannot play for hours on end. It seems the longer I play the more mistakes I make.

How long do you play before a taking a breather?
And what was your average bet?

Are you talking about lifetime or one day?

My buyins totalled well into 7 figures last year. Its not really that hard to do if you play for any kind of stakes and put in lots of hours a year. I've had many 5 figure buyin days. Even moderate stakes players will have 5 figure buyin days if they play multiple casinos per day.

I am, and will stay, ahead of the game lifetime.

Are you trying to say you have a total of TEN hours of playing time? Either that statement is BS or the several hundred others you've posted are. I'm inclined to think the answer is both.

The figures he's talking are moderate in my view.

But I have a friend who frequents Atalantic City with a bankroll of 50-100K and he will be at the tables in excess of 12 hours at a time.

He refers to it as an all nighter.

Once there was Learning To Count, who was a dealer at Chrystal Bay in Tahoe and had a ton of good and bad questions which he had problems formulating into sensable sentences, but we did try to give him some advice.

Within a very short period of time he declared himself no longer a student (learning to count) but Cardcounter himself! He would sometimes post something directly from a book to look smart but was unable to expand on the topic with his own thoughts, so he would disappear from the thread.

By the way, back on June 30th, Cardcounter posted that he had 5 backoffs in three different casinos. For 10 hours of play, he certainly deserves some kind of recognition for accumulating 5 backoffs.

Yes, be advised, there are those who consider each and every one of us to be an enemy here and we must be very careful who we identify ourselves to. Anybody can claim to be anybody on the internet.

In addition to casino personnel, there are scammers and hucksters who know we have bankrolls, and common criminals who know we walk around with large amounts of cash.

just so you know, no matter anybodys answer, it proves nothing.. unless of course they start out by saying over the past 10 years playing almost every day.. but ya, i wonder sometimes too where people are, so as to see variance.. for instance, i am down $300 betting $10 flat over 10 hours, while only playing in positive counts, and another poster told me i had less than a 10% chance of that happening if i was playing with any kind of advantage, which i was, so that makes me feel better

haha, ya some of the posts are just like what? like i said in another post, the name "cardcounter" is a horrible name, not only because it is extremely basic and such, but because it attracts unwanted bias, and also, do you really think a really good AP, or any AP for that matter, would have a name like that? imo, i think somebody who cant count at all, or somebody who just learned and struggles would have that name.. if i had a name like SuperAP, i can guarantee you the insults on me would go up 50%, mainly because im not

Just a suggestion - it might be more accurate to at least make an estimate of total hands played or total hands per hour. Perhaps even more so since you may be playing fewer than half the hands you see? (just a guess).

Obviously the chances of losing 30 units is alot different if you only played 100 hands than if you played 600.

cardcounter...say your there for 9 hours straight. i backcount a few mins, wait for tha tc to get to 3 or so. put in 500$. and win. BOOM! im more succussful than your 9 hour grind session. i dont know where im going with this, just wanted to say sumthen

one problem.. there is absolutely no way to even estimate how many hands i played in 10 hours because i only play positive counts.. sure there is an average, lets say 44% of hands, but in 10 hours the variance could be huge, which is why i listed it as so.. hands is more accurate, but not everybody can say "oh, 1000 hands? thats ~X hours".. most people see 5000 hands and think "is that a lot? how many hours?"
