So my first post messed up i had a whole nice explination but ive been writing to much... anyway my friends wanted me to write a gambling book... i did one before and they enjoyed it. They have even offered to pay for this one but unless it really becomes a big project i wont do that. So far i have a little intro and a bash of voodoo martingakle because many will swear to death it works... but I wanted to see if anyone was interested on picking it apart for me because i do not want to feed any misinformation to anyone.

(Dead link: http://www.keepandshare.com/doc/view.php?id=987815&da=y)

HA was changed to HE... now i think HA was correct?

Actually i cant get it to work arrgggg

I read the beginning of your book and I think it is well written. I think you can do without the example as to when it is a good time to use a progressive. I feel that it is a bit pointless in a book about advantage play. Even then, you do not need a progressive to achieve the goal of a small win with a high likelihood (for example, betting your entire bankroll evenly over 36 out of the 38 numbers in roulette would achieve this without the use of a progressive, plus its a lot faster and you are not rebetting your bankroll.)

Anyway, what can I say, you have a knack for writing and I believe you have the ability to make people want to keep reading on. However, I just feel like this has been done to death. I've read so many books dealing with what you talked about. How voodoo is bad, how you need to put the hours in, how so many have failed, how to count, how to get the advantage at this-and-that game. I think you really could appeal to a wider audience by writing about some of your personal experiences rather than writing another "how to win at gambling" book.

I know you have so many interesting stories, or maybe you even kept a diary of your life counting cards. This would be a fun read that would appeal to so many more people, not just those looking to become an advantage player.

I'm not sure if this was the type of advice you were soliciting. If its not, I'm sorry, just disregard my post.

No this is great advice. and all other advice is welcome for sure. I believe you are right about how common and repetative this information is. I planned on adding more personal stories into the book but at the same time i do not want to add to much and make it seem like its a book about me. Adding in these stories will be easier once it actually gets into actual game play.

edit a little more was done i actually got to the blackjack basics but there is still a long way to go
