Does your local casino bus people to play at the casino? I have had the experience of a normal day of playing turn into a day in hell. Under normal condtions (if you call any conditions at a casino normal) the tables have a few players here and there with a few more filled with people who can play a decent game. Then the busses arrrive and the swarms show up and fill the tables and stupid just floweth over. I may have to start going back to playing at 3 and 4 in the morning just to avoid the agravation of the short bus people. blackchipjim

I know what you mean. The bus people arrive about noon and start leaving about 5 pm. I used to play mostly from 2am until about 7am. For me I found out that was the best time.

if you're referring to salamanca(i remember you mentioning going there in another thread) they are big on bringing in people from Erie. My neighbors ride out there on those quite a bit. In the case of salamanca i've found mond-thursday evenings to be great if you arrive there around 9-10. Very few people in the casino in general.

Erie has its own slot parlor now, so in a weird way it makes sense that the bus people would flock to the tables, since if they wanted slots they could stay local.

Around here, the bus people don't clog the tables too bad, I think because they have trouble making it all the way to the table games area with their walkers.

I believe every casino in AC, except Borgata, lives by the bus people.

Look at the bright side. Ploppies finance what we do.

yeah, we run up there during lunch sometimes... the best part is they've put in some virtual blackjack and virtual roulette machines to entice those that like the table games... they suck... it is fun to watch the old people walk towards them and then walk away when they see that it is a $5 min bet.

One time I walked by a super-annuated couple playing a video slot. The slot was going BERSERK with the bonus feature, lights and animation and endless free spins and multipliers. I wondered they the old man didn't seem more excited. Then I checked his bet, he was playing one line at one penny per line, a true penny slot. I think he won enough to buy a soda on the whole deal.

Bus people are pure profit machines.

Around here they are machine players

Depending on the casino, the deal with busing is the people pay something like $20 for the ride but then get $20 in free play from the casino or something along those lines. The object for many of them, perhaps the smarter ones in the group, is to make that $20 last all day. So you find them play penney machines or nickel machines one line at a time.

Someone I know who plays a lot of VP likes to play these 10 play machines for .25 or $12.50 per spin or .50 or $25 per spin. When the bus folks are in he finds them taking all of these machines playing five or ten cent one liners and it drives him nuts. I figure they are saving him money.

Since most of the tables are $10 and up, not too many bus folks clogging them.
Now these are the buses that come with the seniors but I have forgot the other kind of buses that come to So Cal Indian casinos. These come from areas with a heavy Asian population. These buses will have some big table game and slot players and must be huge money makers for these casinos.

Yep, one dealer at a local place was saying they had to reconfigure staffing schedules over the weekend to adapt to a changing bus schedules of crazy Asian players.
