can the art of card counting still works?

hi people i just picked up card counting to improve my game. Here is where the problem lies, the riverboat casino i visit would always shuffle the cards after every hand. Does this means that there the effort of card counting equates to zero? 1 more thing, will i be able to find a playing ground where the blackjack tables does not shuffles its 6 multi-decks after every hand.

May all of us beat the casino at their very game!

Shuffling every hand would be bad. Why would they be doing this? I haven't heard of it happening. Is it a single-deck game? Are they using a continuous shuffler?

In the vast majority of cases, card counting won't gain you an advantage if they shuffle every hand. The exception might be if you were to find a single deck game with good rules (house edge <0.2%). In such a game, I think you can get an edge by knowing all the indices. You'd need to be in able to see most/all of the cards dealt before acting on your hand (either by playing 3rd base at a full table, or by playing multiple hands with significantly larger bets on the hands you play last). I believe this technique is called "depth charging". It's not something I've bothered to learn because there are very few games around where using this strategy is practical.

There are plenty of 6-deck shoes where they typically deal anywhere from 4-5 decks before shuffling. If you're not seeing this at your casinos, you're going to need to travel to find a playable game.

move to vegas

If I cut your arms and ask you to lift up a donut, what would be your answer?

No counting anymore for you there. Move to Vegas like I did, live in cars and get yourself free coupons in order to move up to black and purple.....LOL

Have fun in between those colour switches,

thanks people but dun you find it stupid that the dealer shuffles every hand even though its 6 multi-deck. well guess i gotta find a new crypt.

last but not least thanks ppl i kinda like the environment in this forum where everyone is willing to share their valuable opinions. 1 more thing, lets say if your betting strategy has a 5% chance of busting your total bankroll of $5000. that would means out of 20 times u visit a casino, there would be once you would encountered this. How do the pros actually manage to recoup and yet make profits even after suffering such a huge damage.

The most common "risk of ruin" figures you hear about are for an infinite time frame. So, for instance, there would be a 5% chance of busting out the entire bankroll forever. The other 95% would mean that the bankroll grows indefinitely.

You can compute RoR's for shorter trips too.

Incredibly stupid. The ASMs I've seen wouldn't be able to keep up with that, so they must be shuffling by hand. So they spend much more time shuffling than they do playing. Sounds like a waste of time for everyone, including the casino.

Where is this casino located

When you stated riverboat casino, I immediately thought the casino was in the U.S. but I am not sure because I know of no casino that would shuffle a six deck shoe after every hand (except for some blackjack video machines).

As someone else said, it takes a Auto shuffler more time than one hand to shuffle and a fast shuffling dealer still would take about four times the time of a single hand to shuffle, cut and deal. So is 80% or more of your time spent waiting for the cards to be shuffled?

If you can give us some more details about the where and how, we may be able to help you somehow.
In the meantime, that game as you described, can not be beaten unless the rules give the player an edge off the top.
