can the i 18 be used with non hi lo counting strats?

ok I have finally got basic strategy down and I can count down a deck between 30-35 seconds with the red 7 strat. I wanted to learn the illustrious 18 next, but I was curious if it is truly transferable to the red 7. it seems like it is but I wanted some verification.

I don't know about Red 7, but KO has it's own adaptation of the I18. The book actually only mentions 16 plays, but it's the same gist. The remaining play (splitting tens) was mentioned in this thread

Of course, the I-18 are the most powerful index plays in all of the major counting systems. But the index numbers are different! The index numbers for Red 7 are particular to Red 7 and you will have to either get them from Snyder's book, some online resource, or generate them yourself with a simulator.

One problem with unbalanced counts is that the index numbers vary significantly with different numbers of decks.
