I'm pretty sure they can't do it in Missouri. Don't know about Illinois.
Yeah, in Missouri they will just change the game so the conditions are horrible. I heard from a fellow counter there the they did kick out a counter for other reasons. Something like language or banging his hand on the table. I don't know about Illinois.

Yup, I looked at the regs at the gaming commission in Missouri, and they're very similar to AC. They can't throw you out or stop dealing to you, but they can still douche the playing conditions if they wanted to.

I'm afraid I don't know the rules in Illinois, but I have to say that I saw something similar to what was being discussed in the article. Several years ago, before I started card counting, I used to play blackjack once in a while for fun. I was playing at the Hollywood casino in Aurora, same casino mentioned in the article. I was playing at a table with a $15 minimum and a $1000 maximum. As this player approached the table, the pit boss comes over and replaces the $15-$1000 sign with a $15-$100 sign, and adds another sign that said that players could only play once spot at a time. The guy bet exactly $100 on each hand. He played for maybe twenty minutes until he lost all his money. Then he left. Right after he left, the pit boss comes back and replaces the $15-$100 sign back with the $15-$1000 sign and takes away the one hand at a time sign.

Yeah, they might not be able to back you off, but they will just shuffle up or find other ways to make the game unplayable.......

i live in illinois, near chicago, and i must say this is a non factor, and a waste of an argument (i hear it a lot), because a casino can kick you out with no reason, the same as 99% of employers can kick you out for no reason (at-will job), so whether the answer is yes or no, it doesnt matter, you wont find a case where a casino says "god damnit hes spreading $50-$2000 and hes killing us, but there isnt anything we can do! we cant boot him cuz its against the law!".. are you going to prove they booted you for counting? are you going to prove the employer fired you (or didnt hire you) for being black?

ive noticed its better to play in places where they can kick you out for card counting, because it seems they do less to stop it, such as covering up the discard, lowering table limits, shuffling up, etc, because they can rely on a backoff.. i think casinos in places where they cant kick you out seem to overreact, because overreacting by shuffling up and such doesnt hurt ploppies as much as backing off somebody who isnt counting would.. of course i dont have experience in this except indiana, where i think they can kick you out, and dont care if you count from my experience, and also not many people count, probably because nw indiana is filled with poor uneducated ploppies, so perhaps this is why
