Casino BS cards are BS

My wife wanted to spend some of my comp points in the local casino recently. While she's looking around, I noticed a BS card for sale. I took a look at it and noted the following:
It did not specify any game rules
It said to simply hit 2,2 and 3,3 v 2 and 3, and 6,6 v 2
Some of the usual soft doubles were just hits rather than doubles as well.

This particular casino has all shoe games with DA2 and DAS, so the above plays are wrong for the games within.

yup

i've seen same BS card in my fav joint which doesn't specify num of decks, rules and will mostly follow low-variance strategy.
"Card assumes '2' as wild card" - following ploppy myth.. and hence soft 18Vs2 and 9,9 Vs2 is a stand. same for soft18vs3..

I am assuming this is low-variance basic strategy, definitely not maximizing the EV.

Taking a legitimate basic strategy card that is correct for one particular game and using it on any other game will cost less than one-tenth percent at most -- as long as it's a legitimate card! Sadly, I have seen some cards that propose optional "conservative" and "aggressive" strategies to suit one's own personality as though they're "okay". There's the hazard.

Don't the authors of KO Blackjack suggest a one size fits all games BS table?
they did in the book. as fred says, for most casual players, it's not that big of a deal at all (biggest difference probably going from SD to multi deck). getting them to use any type of BS (as long as its not the type misleading ones that Fred mentions) is a step in the right direction in my opinion (morally at least. realistically, we counters need others to continue losing money, right?).
