Casino hopping in Atlantic City?

As you all know, in Las Vegas, you can constantly hop from casino to casino on foot.
In a given day, you can really pop in and out of 5 or 6 casinos up and down the Las
Vegas Blvd. An hour or two here and an hour or two there, etc.
Is Atlantic City like that, too?
Can you walk from one casino to another, constantly popping in and out?
Which casino is in the middle for most convenience?

Showboat, Resorts, and Taj Mahal are all close together on the boardwalk.

and about a 5-10 minute walk away...

Bally's, Caesar's, and Trump are all close together on the boardwalk.

Most of the others are somewhat scattered.

Casino hopping is much easier in AC than LV. The casinos aren't as big, are closer together and there are no streets to cross. Exception is the marina area where a car is needed.

Walking the entire stretch of boardwalk casinos is quite a hike but I've done it. A car or jitney is needed to go to Trump Marina, Harrah's and Borgata. No main streets to cross like in Vegas as was mentioned, so it's actually easier. There's less casinos in AC is all.

While both the A. C. Boardwalk and the L.V. Strip are about 4 miles long, there are differences; the weather not withstanding.
