People say it's the best software to practice realistic blackjack. My question to experts (who has tried this), does it resemble real blackjack, one you guys play in casino in vegas or atlantic city?

It has got very good reviews but I want to know from you guys before I buy it.

Excellent software. Pretty realistic, sans smoke, irritating people, chatty dealers, and eye candy.

You won't be disappointed with the purchase.

It's fully programmable, so you can change all rules and settings to mimic the game you intend to play. As far as being realistic goes, it's about as good as you're going to get on a computer screen. Download the demo and try it out.

Thanks guys, I'm trying to improve my skills. I don't know how to count cards, but before I get into that, I want to make sure I have a solid strategy and I don't mess it up. I hope this piece of software will help me out.

I have a few more questions if you don't mind answering.

1. Let's say, I've been playing well on Casino Verite BJ for a few months, I mean I'm earning consistent return. If I play the same way in a real casino, how likely I'll achieve the same result?

2. There is a casino database within this software. I do well in some, and perform very bad in few others. How realistic is the database?

3. Large casinos like bellagio, caesars, or venetian...do they ever cheat with people? Maybe by putting a lot more low value cards than high value cards?

Sorry if these sounds like dumb questions, I'm new and I've never been to LV.

The large casinos will never cheat since they can lose their license if they are caught. They show the cards face up every time they replace them. It's the small casinos that may be questionable, but still, there's no need for them to cheat since they have an advantage anyway, except against counters.

To make it more realistic, I'd suggest playing blackjack while watching TV and talking to other people. The casino database is accurate as of the date it was published, but you can just visit your local casino and note the rules and penetration, and adjust it in CV.
