Casinos that give rebates.

While playing at Terribles on my last trip,I overheard a player asking the PB for some walking money.
PB said that they would rebate $100 one time,if the man had lost at least $1,000.
But the PB kept hemming and hawing and saying that they were having trouble looking up the guys buy-ins and such. I left before it was resolved.

Anyone ever take advantage of something like this? Anyone know which casinos will do something like it?
I saw a guy drop $3,000 at El Cortez last year and the PB was almost laughing at his request for a few dollars to get home. Then the guy started asking for a food comp,a buffet comp, something, anything. It was quite pathetic, but the guy had been a total jerk while he was playing.

Well, I know that loss rebates are common among whales, but I never imagined even being in the same room as people who would qualify.

... I guess at Terrible's, that amount is $1000? Damn. I need to go there.

I've heard of casinos giving away "walking money" for people who seem to be down and out, but I've never tried it. Even if it works you could only use it a few times (on different shifts). I have taken advantage of a few loss-rebates though. They can be a big help.

Longhorn is the only Vegas casino I know that gives cash-back for playing BJ.
Anyone know any other?
