Hello this is my first post on this forum.
I was at Argosy in Lawrenceburg this week playing blackjack and was getting some decisions that seemed questionable and was hoping some blackjack professionals could tell me whether this is the norm.
I was dealt 10-6 dealer had a 5 showing so i stood on that. Dealer turns over an ace so thats a soft 16. Dealer draws another ace says thats soft 17 takes my money. The way i always played and understood the game is when that 2nd ace is drawn that hand is no longer a soft hand its a hard hand, which in this case should have been a 7 and dealer should have proceeded to draw more cards.
If i'm wrong please enlighten me, thank you.
btw...this happened numerous times while i was there along with some other questionable things like not letting me hit on split aces and such which caused me to lose. I know you cant hit when you double down but if you split a hand your supposed to be able to hit that hand till your satisfied with your cards. At least thats the way i always understood it.
