Comps playing BJ

Hello,

I play at our local casinos along the Indiana borderline w/ KY. Yes I know the blackjack games/rules aren't very good but I really don't have a choice. However, I am tired of getting BS Comps.

While yeah, sometimes I'm able to score a free hotel room or a free meal or whatever by asking the pit while I'm playing. I'd like to know what I need to do to be able to get "better comps".

I really don't want to get the reply read that Comps book by that one author, I would really just like a straight forward approach on how to get the best comps at casinos.

I do play some green chip but usually just an avid BS player.

This post is more forwarded to Harrah's TR then any of the other casinos.

Thanks

Those Indiana riverboat casinos are a joke on comps. I played there 2 years ago, while in the area for a meeting - several hours of BJ and Sp21, with bets up to $400. I started getting coupons for $2 off a buffet, free dessert with dinner, etc. It was good for a laugh.

Whatever I can get I suppose.

I would have thought there would be a certain way to maximize getting comps with certain kinds of play

Comp City by Max Rubin will give you lots of good information about maximizing comps for your play.

What Sonny said.

Belterra has the second worst comps on earth (behind Wheeling Island). Horseshoe is quite bad as well. I believe Argosy and Grand Vic are signficantly better (although not great).

Buy in for more money, bet more when you are being rated, and you should be able to score something. Rooms are MUCH easier to get by using a mailer.

Moos right about the mailer. The games at the harrah's boats are plyable but not great. But ihave gotten comps including cash vouchers and meals and rooms playing chunky green. I do usually play alittle "smart" roulette or wheel of fortune slots if I'm up much at boats there. Ya have to be careful with that tho. :eyepatch:
