I was wondering if there is any other way to figure out the number of remaining decks besides visually looking at the discard tray? I was thinking of doing this by avg. number of cards a person gets. Are there any stats on what the average number of cards a person gets is? Because lets say the average person gets 3 cards.
If you are at a full table, lets say 6D with 1.5 deck cut out, you could say that after each round there would have been 24 cards dealt (7 players, 1 dealer). You could est. this as being 1/2 deck delt and say that there are 5.5 decks left. You could then change your number depending on how many are at the table. The only problem I see is that there probably isn't an average number of cards dealt, so my idea would be out the window.
Or am I better off learning to visually figure how many decks are in the discard tray? Any ideas or help would be great.
