It seems that flat betting in negative counts in the occasions when you're winning a higher percentage of those hands than usual would be apt to draw attention to your play, particularly since you increase your bet with wins in positive counts. I've begun adding nominal amounts to my bet after several wins in negative counts as a cover move. Am I overly concerned about the discrepency and should just flat bet, or is it a reasonble move? My sense is that it's a modest reduction in earnings for the sake of longevity.
