Crappy free play coupon

I have a $100 even wager free play coupon. I take it to the craps table and play the pass line bet. The shooter throws a point, 4-6 or 8-10. Should I now place odds behind the free play coupon?

Odds is an even money bet, like a coin flip. Placing odds will increase your variance but will not increase your EV.

does even wager mean that it is only valid on 1-to-1 bets?

if so, the odds bet in craps won't qualify.

you can try to wong into a tc+2 and use it to play one bj hand?

yes, even wager means that it's only valid on 1 to 1 bets.

Will not increase my EV? Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know.
appreciate it.

This should be obvious. The house edge on an odds bet is zero. It does not change the expected value of your bet (though it does change the ratio of the expected value to total money bet, since total money bet increases but expected value does not).

"I would bet that on the dont pass. Then place $44 on the 5-9. You're guaranteed to win."

That is laughable.

Explain how it is that you come by such an absurd conclusion.

If you do want to lock in a win with a $100 free play coupon, you could bet your $100 coupon on the pass line, $50 in cash on the don't pass, and $5 on 6-6 ($2 would be better, but $5 minimum tables are easier to find). You'll win $45 unless the come-out roll is a 6-6, in which case you'll win $150.

If you're not restricted to craps, you could make a similar lock in baccarat.
