CSM's At Poker Machines But Not BJ

I find it quite odd to see that in many casinos where I am (I do not release that info) that the Casinos will have CSMs for Poker games like "Let It Ride," "Three Card Poker," etc.. But at the same time they do not have them at the lower-limit BlackJack tables. They do have CSMs at higher limit tables.

I asked a dealer once if they would get them at the lower-limit BlackJack tables as well. He said: "No, it's too expensive."

To me this is very strange for a couple reasons:

#1. The BlackJack tables are always busier then the Poker tables.
#2. Card counters are cutting in to their profits at BlackJack.

You can't use card counting for an advantage at Poker games can you? If not then this doesn't make any sense at all.

(I just did a Google search and saw that you can count at Poker games.) Still, you would think the CSMs would be better served at BlackJack.

You are confusing CSMs with Automatic shuffle machines. Let it Ride and 3card poker use a single deck and the deck is fully shuffled after each game,it is not continiously shuffled.

Also, in the case of 3CP, and maybe LIR, and many other carnival games they shufflers are mainly there to spit out predetermined numbers of cards for dealers to hand to players.

Plus, there may be some licensing issues. A casino can set up a blackjack table with virtually no costs. Adding a CSM or ASM costs serious bucks. But any of the carny games are going to be licensed anyway. Just speculation, but maybe the cost of the machine isn't that much more.

No trust me dude, at some of the Casinos near me they use CSMs. I know the difference between an ASM and a CSM. Some of the Casinos near me use ASMs at their tables which means you better run fast to the washroom at the end of the shoe. With CSMs there is no end of the shoe. These Casinos definitely use them.

I am thinking, since they say you can count cards at Poker, with so much higher pay-outs for winning hands, people could probably make a lot of money at that game, no? The website I saw on Poker counting, counts just like the Hi-Lo system.

Interesting thought. I suppose there probably isn't a copyright on BlackJack or Roulette. But these other games there probably is.

I read somewhere that everything introduced with and after Caribbean Stud is licensed from someone.

How can they be using a CSM when they are only using a single deck?It makes no sense.

Its not. 3CP is a licensed game. ShuffleMaster owns the game, the tables and the shuffle machines.
Believe whatever you want, but you are wrong here.

Playing thisgame with multiple decks would destroy any house foolish enough to try it.It would create so many more flushs, straights and tree of a kinds that no one would try it.
