I'm just curious if there are still casinos that do this, and why it was ever a rule in the first place.
It seems like it would just create a lot of unnecessary problems: players would handle the cards (so now casinos would have to worry about players marking or folding the cards to make them recongnizable), and players could potentially lie about their hand, that is, they may be able to take a couple extra hits after they bust, just wasting cards.
