Delaware CSM

I know we have all been hoping that better games in Delaware and Pa would force AC to be more competitive. It doesn't look as though Delaware is going to do it's part. Thread on the other board lists "a reliable source" that Delaware will have all CSM's. :( This is no surprise, as I had read several months ago that Delaware was 'very concerned' about the effects of AP's. It was even one of the reasons listed for the delay in getting the games up and running. What is the likelyhood that Pa will follow suit?

I am an eternal pessimist because well, i was raised that way. I'm not holding too much hope for very good games in PA. Though the possibility exists that they could because of competition. The erie casino is owned by the same people that run Mountaineer in WV and last i heard they were doing all 8 deckers. The key in all of it (at least for western pa) is going to be the 2 pittsburgh area casino's. I'm not sure if the Rivers has any corporate affiliation to look at for reference but being that they have another PA casino about 35 minutes away they will have to do something to get people there and stay there. Same goes for the Meadows (which is the one i was referencing before). Those 2 will have to slug it out with each other and have the WV casinos to deal with < 1 hour away + Ohio coming on. If nothing else it sure will be interesting to see how things turn out. If nothing else, maybe i can get a job teaching B.S. and counting.

Idiotic

Delaware will hurt themselves financially by offering only CSMs at their blackjack tables. They will clean out the locals but will not attract any players from elsewhere... except for maybe Harrah's? hahahaha

I can see it all now... husband says to wife,"Oh Honey, to HECK with going to Vegas--- Didn't you HEAR???? They have CSM's in Delaware and who the hell can pass up THAT sweet deal??!!??"

Why would a regular player care if its a CSM or not? Especially if its way more convenient than flying to Las Vegas. I would imagine it would be better because there is less down time!

People don't like CSM's. They want to see a shoe begin and end.

There are hardly any casinos that have all CSM's, you will never see one in a high-limit room, so if Delaware does try something as lame as all CSM's they will probably abandon that course of action in a few months when they realize they have nothing but $10 players.

Real live dealers

Saw on the Harrisburg news that Hollywood Casino is training real live blackjack dealers for the July startup.

David,

You really need to stop being a forum troll.

DELETE the link that comprises your signature.

Your vacuous postings are meretricious as it is.

Your primary motive appears to be the "plugging" of a website.

It is your sole motivation for posting. It is repugnant.

That's a bit harsh. This site tolerates limited peddling; I wouldn't think an unobtrusive link in a signature of a blackjack-related post would break the bank, would you?

Picking on the Pom

You guys are picking on David but... this guy plays against CSM's because he knows how to beat them or get over on them! This makes him a whizbang that is far superior to our limited skills compared to his. I think you guys are just jealous because he knows how to beat CSM's and you don't.

I personally don't know much about DavidPom, nor do I find that link in his signature intrusive or annoying, but I guess that's management's call. If you don't want to click on it, don't click on it. I clicked on it and actually found some useful info on the Hilton/monorail promotion that I may take advantage of. (show the Hilton, your monorail receipt and get a free $10 match play) Pretty much makes for a free monorail ride.

As I said, I don't know much about him, but I suspect from the reaction from some of the regulars at this and other sites that at times his peddling is turned up a notch, but I will reserve judgement until I see such.

And yes, If he can beat CSM's, I am indeed jealous!

Derrrr

I was being facetious, Jason... a joke, you know? This is why I have to play blackjack instead of trying to make it as a stand-up comic...I wouldn't click on his link if you paid me! Wait... hang on a sec... How much is it worth to anyone out there?

AM Called It

Big Players will not play against csm or 6-5 blackjack. In fact not even many low rollers will.

It's a great way for a casino to not make money at blackjack:joker::whip:

For those who “don’t get around much”

The clear and almost ubiquitous trend is to present tiers of BJ games.

Most typically it looks something like this:

At the bottom end there are low stakes games, with H17 and C.S.M.’s.
At the top end are high stakes games — hand-shuffled 6 deckers with S17.
