Determining hourly EV.

I understand that it's different for all the counting systems because they all have varying degrees of EV depending on the game. I also understand that to find your EV hourly rate you multiply the EV by the total amount of all bets placed in one hour. My question is, how do you figure out the average amount you will bet in 1 hour? I would like to know how to figure this out for a general case, but I have one particular situation I want to check the hourly rate for.

Say I am using the KO Preferred counting system on a 6-deck game, with a 1-10 betting spread. The KO book gives an EV of 0.73. Now let's assume I would be using a 5 dollar minimum bet, which would be a spread of 5-50. What could I expect to earn per hour of play?

Determining average bet is something I've always done by simulation. However it is likely that avg bet is pretty closely predictable by just the spread, so there may be a nice shortcut available.

Unless someone has a chance to run the sim for you, you may want to look around at http://www.bjstats.com (Archive copy) and see if there's enough information there to help answer the question.
