Did my first slot advantage play this weekend

I made a KILLING!

I found a double diamond mine machine with the bonus due to pay (It was one of those with the 3 shafts) and played it till I hit the bonus. I'm rich now, I made 5 bucks! :D

Unfortunately there's only a few of these types of machines around so it's impossible to make any real money off these.

I just take a look at this kind of stuff when I'm doing stuff like avoiding the relief dealer. Usually I just sit at some random slot machine and look at my watch for 20 minutes.

The variance on that is high. But it is the easiest AP move to find a slot with an abnormally high jackpot and just play it until it hits. Or if say the Powerball lottery jackpot is $250 million, it's an AP move to take out a loan and buy every possible lottery ticket combination because one of them has to be the winner.

Oh yeah, jackpot hunting is +EV, there's even teams that do that with VP and what not. The variance on that is massive.

The variance on the bonus machines isn't as bad since the symbols to add a unit to the bonus column pop up fairly frequently, and ploppies leave the machines when the columns are almost full all the time, because well, they're dumb slot players.

Unfortunately the EV for those machines is probably around 5 credits, and you might find the opportunity a few times a week.

Well, the powerball honestly probably never goes +ev. First of all, you have to discount the payments to cash: $250 million over 30 years is more like $110 million cash. Then take taxes, and you're around $70 million. Then calculate the chance of a split jackpot, which is pretty sizable.

The split jackpot really does it in; the bigger it gets, the more people pile in and buy tickets, the more likely it is it will split.

The joke is on alot of people with these type of machines........This particular machine is what is know as the "Vision Series" machines.
They came in quarters, fify centers, dollars, and 5 dollar machines...with a smattering of 25 dollar machines......
Diamond mines, cherrypies, coming soon machines, mystery bonus.....
YES they are chump change "play" in quarters.
Lets say PIT15 got a bonus of ten quarters...yyaaaaaa $2.50. NICE!!! now lets say he does that ten times a day 25 dollars....cool!!!! A great day and he gets 20 plays cool....Fifty bucks....not bad.....
Now lets take that same machine and make it a $5.00 machine......PENCIL it out???? HMMMMM thats aaahhhhhhh Thats a ten coin win...fifty dollars...ten plays a day huh????? 50x10 is $500.00.......no way???!!!!! But wait he got 20 playsss WFT Man thats a grand a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOly crap!!!

Now imagine a joint that was FULL of ploppies that were friggin rich!!! All the machines were dollars or 5 dollar machines...... Now lets say hypathetically there were 30 of these 5 dollar machines and 50 dollar machines..........the place was packed 24/7....
Lets say you and a partner had the place to your self for a solid 2 years give or take a month........
Hmmmmmmm how much could you possibly make ????? I wonder????
Small hint....each play was worth a minimum of 100dollars on the $5 machines and 20 on the dollars.....
And these 2 guys never got more than 4 hrs sleep a day for weeks on end...

NOW that would be a story to tell......:laugh:

Just had another thought how about if you found a BlackJack promotion that paid 9/2 for blackjacks..........Now that woudl be cool!!!! I wonder if you would ever get tired of playing that bj promotion.....LMAO!!!!

Unfortunately the vision series machines are mostly small denom. If there were $100 machines that were wongable that would be some real $. It's something to do though while avoiding the relief dealer on your main AP if that's your type of thing and it's free cover on your player card. It's never bad to have some slot play on your card

If I do see a 9/2 blackjack payoff promotion, I would take out a second mortgage and bet table max on every spot.

I'll pay you 9/2 on blackjack, but you also have to pay me 9/2 on a dealer blackjack

Finally!

I finally found my first advantage slot play and let me tell you, I crushed it! Yes, crushed it.

Five dollars has never tasted so sweeter... :joker:

Seriously, though, it makes me wonder: if I was able to find this on the Boulevard, where all these machines were supposedly removed about 10 years ago, then there must be many more opportunities in the markets where the Evil Empires do not dominate. If they do exist, I'm sure they are a fraction of what they used to be, but maybe there are markets where a single player could hustle it out on machines alone.

Machinist, I know you know, but I don't blame you for not talking ;)

Yeah, there may be all kinds of stuff off in the middle of nowhere. In Vegas, it's gonna get nailed and killed quickly.

Just the smartest Machinist. At one point one PB was quoted as saying, " We thought there was only going to be one BJ an hour" hahahahaha.

I dont think one would ever get tired of playing such a game, although you could actually get tired play it and possibly hit a 14 v 6 beacuse you almost fell asleep. Not really a bit deal though since the EV lost by that play would be gained the next hand on such a game.

Watch the Star Wars slot machines. Byu hitting a certain non-winning combo, you win eligibilty to the next bonus round. If you go to cash out before the bonus, it alerts you, but if you run out of money it does not. Bonus stays active for about two minutes, so if someone walks away, you can jump in the seat ,put money in and you are gold for the bonus. You can win anywhere from $3 to $100 on the bonus round, perhaps more.

Starwars...very old news.......much better stuff came out about the same time as starwars.....but all 3 are pretty dead.....remember this type of stuff takes ploppies to build the bonuses.....if a casino is dead.......
well...........your pretty dead in the water too!!
Hopefully I will be invited to play some 9/2 BJ if that ever happens again!!! Lol

These particular SW machines made their Vegas debut in November. Just how old could the news be?

2 bashes ago or was it 3?? Help me out frog...CP...Homeschool, Prime, Itrack???? Hell I think it was 3 bashes ago...lol......I gave a few demonstrations on it at the bash site.....
Also gave quite a few bashers directions to SWs through PMs......
SWs has one of the more complicated bonusing features. But once its been explained to you.....kinda like a magic trick....so simple if you know what to look for.....
They hit the midwest first....which is a little unusual....seems a lot of testing of new machines hits california first now...Laughlin used to be huge testing grounds...
(I think it was my first Bash...CP said they had just been put in and I told him those were beatable, CP.....Frog?......)
