Ok im looking for a home base casino in Vegas. Here is what im looking for:

1) free shuttle to and from airport
2) 99.54%+ VP for $1 or less
3) low HE BJ (not necesarily good pen.)
4) decent food
5) good comp system (food and room)
6) quality of rooms not all that important
7) strip location preferred

I will be researching these on my own but if any of you guys have thoughts/input that would be great. PMs work too. After im done researching i'd be glad to share what i found via PM.

From what I understand there isn't a ton of full pay VP to be found on the strip anymore, I could be wrong though.

If you're playing quarters there are casinos that offer s17 ls rsa 6 deck, that is some of the lower HE BJ you'll find.

I have very little knowledge of the comp systems of vegas casinos, but you might want to check out shadroch's thread on getting on Harrah's mailing list.

I would like to know where I can find S17 rsa 6 deck, too. (Not $100 table in HL room.) Never saw one in strip. Of course, if they also have ls, it is better.

Theres good Full pay out there but the mins are high.

Most of the MGM properties have low HE blackjack and good food and NOW good comps.

Hooters may work for you. I don't know if there's a shuttle, but it's very close to the airport, and you can take the Maryland and Tropicana buses if money is an object.
They have full pay Jacks or Better for $1.
They usually have a $10 DD game going (you said bad pen is OK). Other good games and the entire Strip are a very short walk away.
If you play there, you'll get mail with good offers.
Restaurant facing the street is decent.

Other than that, full pay Jacks for under $5 is hard to find on the Strip. It's gone from Imperial Palace, which used to have it. I've heard it comes and goes from the Venetian, and that NY NY has it for $1 and/or $2, but the slot for the player's card is blocked so you don't earn comps.

RE: Low Stakes BlackJack games with a House Edge of .35% or better:

Hooters $10 game is DD with H17 and restricted doubles.
That equates to a H.E. of .44%

Even Terribles has a -.40% game.

Wild Wild West has a table of $5 - $200 DD game with a H.A. of .35% H17 RSA DAS

Alliante Station, SunSet Station, Silverton Santa Fe Station, Fiesta Rancho ALL offer the same.

What you MUST consult is:

It will be updated in a weeks or so.

To the best of my knowledge Full-Pay V.P. for low stakes does NOT exist in Las vegas.

Do these DD games have side bets? I ask because I once played in one DD with side bet "Lucky lucky". If you win the side bet, you need temporarily show your cards to the dealer. It became very confusing because I often forgot whose cards I have counted. Also because I am not used to hold cards, I am very clumsy and the dealers weren't very happy with me. So my second question is if these casinos deal the cards heads up, so players don't have to hold the cards?

The Skyline casino on Boulder Hwy in Henderson has 25c full pay V.P., but it's one of the few places left that does NOT issue player's cards; so if your plan is to make up the negative EV in comps, forget it. The only comps you'll get is if the slot manager likes you and/or thinks he's making money off of you. Besides, they don't have a hotel, and the food is extremely bad, so you probably wouldn't want a comp from them anyway.

LV Hilton will give you what you are looking for.

(Dead link: http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/las-vegas-hilton)

They have some DD at 0.35% HE.

The rooms are like any other non-premium Strip property, food is edible, and it's on the monorail. Comps tend to be very good, and there is some communication between the LV and AC Hilton marketing departments.

This is definitely not true. Theres tons of good VP downtown and other off strip areas. These places cant handle any serious action though so that sucks.

Yea. Hilton is just further down the strip than I would like but I guess at some point something has to give. Do you know if Hilton has free shuttles to/from the airport?

Yea that sounds horrible. Soo many better off-strip options than Skyline it sounds like.

I believe that they have it at Mandalay and MGM for $25. Don't quote me on that.

No, it's $6 like everywhere else. Come on, what do you want, a suite at the Bellagio for 25 cent VP? LV Hilton will give you 3 squares and a flop for playing a +EV game.

im just trying to consider all options. Apparently it is against the law for strip casinos to run private shuttles to and from the airport.

O.P. is an amateur and needs to stay away from downtown, I M H O, and even the Hilton is too far North for him I imagine.

FLASH1296,

I am the O.P. You really need to learn how to read threads before you start posting in them I M H O. I realize that several off strip and downtown joints have what i am looking for but ideally id like to stay on the strip. I will admit i am no expert on LV as I have only been there once.
