In CV-Basic Blackjack Trainer, the basic strategy shown is that if you have 16 with 3 or more cards, stand if dealer has a 10, yes or no?? is this correct?

Thanks for raising up this topic - I should have raised it earlier. I think this is true for a single deck as part of single deck BS. This probably is not correct for multiple deck blackjack.

There are a couple of differences in BS between single deck, double deck and multiple deck BJ.

16vX is a borderline play in which if there are more X's v small cards on the board, you will hit. The same goes for 12v4 (S/H), soft 13v5 (D/H), and soft 15v4 (D/H).

PS: TBH, I am not entirely sure about the last few, but their index for zen is 0, making me assume that it could apply to simple table scanning for non-counters.

PPS: These additional changes to BS will give an extremely small bonus thats barely worth it if you are not a regular player.

Borderline stuff with a six deck shoe. Fred Renzey suggests that if you have a multi-card 16 v 10, with a 4 or 5 in it stand. If there are no 4s or 5s then hit - you might just pick one up. There will come a point in a neg count where a shoe is rich in 2-6s and it'll be beneficial to hit again. But as that'll be min bet time I don't bother with it, especially as the dealer will have a higher chance of pulling a 2-6 to go with the 10 showing and have to go again (ENHC-UK rules).

Not at all, the count overrides this. In neutral counts 16v10 is way too close of a call to argue about N-card hands and what you should do. (In shoe games at least.) I don't think it merits the energy it's getting.
