Double Blackjack

For the third time in three weeks, I was spreading to two hands and both of them got a blackjack at the same time. All three times I was betting $100 or more, but that is not odd because I rarely play multiple hands unless the count is positive. Was this a million to one shot, or is this type of result fairly common? I hope to see many more!

Its about 500-1 at a neutral count. I've gottem three at once, a half-dozen times - twice in a week, once. zg

While playing at NY NY on the strip at a double deck game the count was rising and I was getting killed. Finally I said "F it" and I threw the rest of my trip bankroll into the circle -- two hands of $200 ... First base says to me "cool down bro, you'll get there..."

I know if was overbetting but it felt really good when I look at the first hand .. blackjack...

And then I look at the second hand...

blackjack...

then first base says "wow, I've never seen that before."

I ended up breaking even that night.

Unless Im mistaken its 21x21=441, correct?

You mean while playing 3 hands, 12 different times in 1 week?

Thats sounds about equal to my 12 year, kitchen table carreer. One night I got:

7 Double Blackjacks(X2) in a single 6hour stint, one night! Most ever single BJs I got in a row was 4, and just once. Get 3 in a row from time to time.

Obviously you were in collusion with the dealer. The odds of that happening are so high that you must have been cheating. No other explanation is possible.:whip:

This happened to me yesterday - very high positive count, table of 5 and I'm in seat two. I had a max bet out and with the dealer showing a 10, there were three blackjacks and a 20 dealt, and I received a wonderful 13. That was pretty typical of the day I had where everyone around was winning and I was just getting killed. The only consolation was the fact that the high cards were coming out when they were supposed to according to the count, they just were not coming to me.

Truth is stranger than fiction. It came at just the right time, too!

Yesterday, playing only one hand, three blackjacks came out to me and the players on either side of me. That was the first time I ever saw it three in a row, not just three in a round.

Everytime I see blackjacks and twenties falling all around me but not on me I am more determined to play multiple hands in positive counts.

About 445-1, to be more precise.
No big deal but I don't see how you can be more precise without even knowing the number of decks involved.

Anyway, for one deck, 2 BJ's in a row, maybe 564 to 1. For 6 decks, maybe 462 to 1. For 8D, a little less.

We have to assume one BJ has already been dealt.

So, for one deck, 4*16/52*4/51*15/50*3/49. Etc.

Does that seem right?

Grif has been doing some informal ace tracking lately so, at the top of every shuffle, he’d whisper to me "ten of clubs, six of hearts, eight of spades," or some-such. I found it difficult to watch for these key cards that would precede the aces and still keep my count at the same time. But we muddled through regardless.

I soon gave up on key-card tracking and just concentrated upon the count and simply increased my bets and number of spots when I saw Grif doing likewise in unusual situations. Since he has practiced this new technique, I’d just depend on him to alert me when aces were due to come out.

During this session, The Grifter whispered to me, "two of spades," when he saw the dealer scoop two aces in front of that key card. About three rounds into the next shuffle, I saw the two of spades come out on the next-to-last card dealt on that round, and nudged Grif, who had seen it too, and nodded. Before the next round, and despite a true count of minus three, The Grifter, strategically positioned at first base, spread to two spots, with max bets on each. I spread to two spots of only $50 each, kind of hedging my bets.

The essence of key-card ace prediction is that those two aces should soon follow that two of spades-key card. In this case, Grif was following what is called a "super-key-card," a key card followed by two aces. We would hope to catch one or both as the first cards of our hands, and then hopefully catch a ten on that.

Unbelievable! Two max bets on a minus three count, and The Grifter caught both aces with matching tens!

Grif flipped over the two blackjacks and announced in mock dismay that, "The odds of getting two blackjacks at the same time are 500-1 and these bastards are paying me 3-2."

It has to be due to your highly exemplary and saintly lifestyle.:devil:....(P.S. Don't tell your wife!)

I stayed in room 2121 at the Marriott on the Canada side of Niagra Falls. It was midnight when we arrived and while my family settled in to sleep I quickly washed up and made my way to a casino they called "The New Casino" because with a room number like that how could I resist. I was doing well, but by 3am I was really tired. I was up $300 so I removed $100 of my winnings and bet the rest and got blackjack. I remembered my room number and took my winnings and left the original $300 there. Again, I got blackjack. It was a great night and worthy of a photo the next morning.
