With 9 vs. 7, you win the hand 59% of the time if you hit and 53% of the time if you double (with a neutral count). That's counting pushes as a half win and a half loss. Doubling becomes correct with this hand at +3.5 true Hi/Lo, at "25 running" with KISS and at "+2 running" with KO in shoe games.
With 9 vs. 8, you win 55% if you hit and 49% if you double. It becomes correct to double at +9 true Hi/Lo, at around "36 running" with KISS and at about +16 with KO.
