Are you talking shoe or pitch? IMO, I would not reckon the 9's in a shoe environment, since it's value becomes too diluted the more decks in play. If you're talking SD, DD only then is it worth it.

Also, the nines get balanced out pretty good when Xs are valued at -2 or even better a -3.

Nines Severely hurt the system when they are valued the same as facecards.

ps. KO is about the easiest. And powerful.

just look up the hi-low system: 2-6 = +1. Face, Ace, and 10s = -1. Ignore 7-9.

When the count is pretty high (especially toward the end of the deck), you know there is high concentration of high cards left in the deck and they'll be coming out the next game (especially if the previous game played alot of low cards) so bet high. Vice versa. If you're "positive" the next card will **** you up (really high count), don't hit and let the dealer bust instead. Watch for heat in this case. Otherwise, stick with basic strategy, which is usually what i do. The only thing that changes for me is my bet based on the count and the previous game's cards.

how can hi-low or ko be easyest counts if you have to keep track of 10 11 difrent cards. in A-5 you only change count when 2 cards apear.in 5 count you have to keep track of only 5s. but last time i read about 5 count it not as easy as increase your bet when 5 fives come out of duble deck.

hi low is the best and easiest counting system
+1 for 2-6
0 for 7-9
-1 for 10-a
theres only three groups you need to keep track of.. once there out and counted for you dont need to worry about how many of each are done already

I cant see the 5 count you describe doing much of anything to get you an advantage

if you cant commit to learn hi low then id quit before your way behind

I am not good enoff to count more than 2 decks. I get to bored count never moves no action.
High low would be more entertaining... although if you suffer from boredom and cant take it you really need to practice a lot until its not painfull or again just stop and play bs

id learn high low it is simple and gives a great advantage

Much better!
Yes, it's quite impressive on paper. I hope you don't have a problem with that secondary count, if not you're surely a better man than I.

The easiest count would probably be Thorp's 5 count but it's not gonna give you much of an edge.
The easiest serious system would have to be K-O. It's powerful and effective with any number of decks and very very simple. And if you want really easy then check out the reKO (really easy K-O). It performs almost on par with the K-O and Hi-Lo and only has a few indices that deviate from BS. The beauty of K-O is that it's an unbalanced counting system so there is no need for deck estimation to get a true count.
Just my 2 cents.

Ace/X Front Count

in Blackjack Bluebook II is simple, but with a minuscule advantage.
You count while observing, then wong in if a certain number of A/Xs
remain after a couple decks are observed.

Jack should strive to continually improve his vocabulary, too. For example, here's a new word to get him started -- supercalifragilisticexpialatriocious. Forgive my atriocious spelling.
