Eastside Cannery?

Staying at Eastside Cannery in April.

Anyone stayed or played there yet?

I'm hoping to flat bet there if they have a good game to try to get the room comped. Any experience with anything about the place? I'm hoping the rooms are nice since it is such a new hotel. very affordable as well.

In Feb, the rooms were $19.95 every nite including weekends.
I played long enough to cash out 4 $20 matchplays. Didn't really pay attention to the rules as I was there for 4 hands. Very nice lounge on the top, great Doors cover band the nite I went. I was talking to some people in the club and they were very impressed with their rooms. You'll need a car, though.

If the rooms are as cheap as rooms have become in much of the L.V. Valley
then accepting the projected loss on flat-betting a mediocre, (or even a good)
game, will leave you with a negative expectation exceeding the (dubious)
value of a deflated room.

In order to be comp'd to a room, you'll need to waste valuable hours at the tables, not minutes.

Think about it.

It's a nice new place, but its a little sweaty so watch out. Use a small spread on their DD game it shouldn't be a problem.

I've played there also. DD H17 DAS w/ LL good game with the right dealer. A bit sweaty. My max bets caught the attention. I spread $10 - $80. I wouldn't flat bet. At least spread 1-4. I never got comps from the north Cannery, so I don't expect comps from the Eastside either.

If you are going to stay there, you might as well play there as well. Aside from the quirky double on any three card game at The Longhorn across the street, theres nothing else very close.

thanks guys. i will have a car.

i can flat bet quarters so i figured that maybe with a few hours of play rooms will be comped. rooms weren't really cheap, but definitely affordable and hoping that a new casino will have nicer / compable rooms than some of the other 'deals' i saw online.

Though if I have to waste too much time to comp an affordable room then I will move on....

There are halfway decent rooms available at places like The Stratosphere, Terribles, and Palace Station, that are generally available at prices of around $30 a night midweek, and only slightly more on weekends.

Anthony Curtis has been hawking someplace downtown with $21 rooms. but, personally, I would NEVER stay downtown.

I still have fond nostalgia for my one session at the nevada palace, razed to make room for eastcan.

Nevada palace's high roller table was $2-$200, so eastcan can't be sweatier.

my first time in vegas I was playing at the $1 table using $10 matchplays from American Casino guide. I liked that place. only $1 game in vegas. only played there once, by my second trip I was already too much of a high roller to play there so i sent my friends there while I played at the longhorn!

going with the GF not the Guys, so a nicish room is in order. The few $30-$40 places I have stayed in vegas have been dumps in my opinion. I mean it is only a hotel room, but $60 isn't ridiculous. Station is expensive on the weekends. more than 30!

Check out the new Cabana Suites at the El Cortez? If you like what you see I have codes for 20% off. The LVA is running a promo with them for $45 for two nites, but you must be a member. I did a walk thru in Feb. and was very impressed by the new lobby. It's actually a building across the the EC that they renovated from scratch.
